Sylvester did an excellent job working on the roof, and stopping a horrible leak. He was professional and went above and beyond to ensure that the job was done properly. He added flashing, removed and replaced the tar along a leaking roof line, and repainted the resealed wood.

EXCELLENT! This review is long over due, but I want to let everyone know what a gem we think Sylvester is. Genuine, honest and curious. ...just a good person. First day he came by to give a quote he dove right in to help my husband remove a cast iron bathtub! After that we showed him the other things we needed help with and he did exactly as we asked and got the job done in the time frame given. Easy to get a hold of and answered all our question. Beautiful job! Sylvester made sure the home was clean before finishing. The paint job on the deck was perfect! I couldn't believe how careful he was painting around the hot tub and against the house. Everything looks wonderful and I will definitely be calling him when we get ready to do our fence! On top of the work he did, Sylvester also shared a few tips along the way when he noticed small repairs we could probably handle ourselves. I really appreciated that. A hard working fellow with a good work ethic. Thank you!!

I first hired Sylvester as an emergency repair when my front door was kicked in. Sylvester provided wonderful and fast service. He not only repaired the door frame quickly but replaced the lock as I was out of town. At this point, I was sold and trusted him to complete other items in my home. I purchased a new front door, 2 bedroom doors, 1 bathroom door and asked for installation, paint and painting of existing doors and frames. Since I travel and was not in town, I decided to pay Sylvester up front for all work. BIG MISTAKE.
Sylvester installed the doors, yes, but never ever should have told me he was a painter. He and his son are definitely not painters. I found putty which looked like a wad of gum, throughout the entire baseboard, painted over. The paint brush must have been full of paint for the amount of sloppy painting that is all over my walls and wood floors which now I have to scrub to clean. The brand new doors look nothing like brand new doors should as the installation and painting is awful. The installation of one bedroom prehung unit is crooked which I had to pay more money to have corrected. Sylvester then replaced one door that I never asked him to touch, and he only replaced the door slab instead of the entire unit. WHERE IS THE FRAME? He obviously took the frame with him. I could have purchased a $20 door slab instead of $120 for a prehung if it wasn't going to be installed. Nevertheless, he changed the wrong door out!
He then painted over the doors and the old doors as asked, again, sloppy paint, getting clear coat all over my walls which now have to be addressed. He then closed the doors before they dried. Once the doors opened, all the paint peeled back off and are in worse shape now than before. I also changed the hardware out about a year ago, so all is brand new and looks great. Not now! Sylvester got paint all over every handle that was perfectly clean before. And never bothered to clean it off.
Somewhere in the process Sylvester sat something on my brand new counters in my master bath and has scraped and galged the soap stone finish. I don't know what was set on the counter but it never should have been there. The counter is less than a year old.
In order to correct these issues, I left Sylvester multiple messages which were not returned. I requested a refund and additional funds for the work he not only did poorly, but damaged other items in the process. Not to mention, took off with a door frame that was meant to be replaced. I also went to Sylvester's business address which is his home. I knocked and rang the door bell, could hear people inside, but was never addressed. I left when no one would open the door.
This process started out fine but ended horribly. Never pay a contractor until the work is complete!

"This person was a con artist. Never paid me over $600.00 dollars. He made a complaint for an old door that shouldn't have been replaced, as it encased a hot water heater. Instead he wanted it painted but the door was too' far gone... I gave him back $300.00 that I left on his living room table. He saw the money, got greedy, and then wanted more money. He lied, and my reputation is too' good for anyone to believe him."

Mr Robinson did a fantastic job on our house. They spent the day presuring washing the years of neglect off the brick and painted surfaces. Great aditude and professionalism. Will have him back to help with more projects. Highly recommend him.

Sylvester came on time and was a very nice guy. I took him around the house and told him what I wanted him to do. After he finished, he had done all I expected and more. The house looked great and he even power washed the sidewalk in front of the house. I was very pleased and would recommend his services.
