Kent did a beautiful job refinishing my childhood bed and bedside table. The job was done in a few weeks and the pieces were delivered when ready. Kent is a super nice guy and very easy to do business with. I will definitely use this business again!

Grubbs Woodworking repaired and restored an antique dresser that was close to 100 years old. A couple of the drawers needed a lot of repair where the veneer and been torn off and the top needed to be completely replaced with new veneer. Birds Eye Maple veneer runs about 400-500 dollars a sheet which would have not been possible to pay that much for the restoration. Mr Grubbs used a different maple that you couldn't tell the difference unless you are another professional woodworker. I mean is turned out beautiful. I highly recommend his work and haved sung his praises to all my friends.if you need chairs fixed or any woodwork done call Grubbs you won't regret it, you will be glad you did.

I'pretty much told the story in the above space. I think this guy is a great find!! I'm excited to have him working on my project. The information in the address section below is not really correct. I took the furniture to his shop and I don't know the exact address or the year the shop was built!!! Those questions were N/A for this review!!!

They repaired two splintered Duncan Phyfe legs on a wooden drop-leaf table. One of the legs was completely broken and another one was about to go. They came and picked up the table and returned it within a week, just as they said they would. He managed to get the broken leg back together with glue and reinforced the other one. He also touched up a place where there is a chip in the veneer; it's much less noticeable now. Anyone would have to look hard to see the leg repairs. I was very pleased with the quality of his work and wouldn't hesitate to call on Grubbs Woodworks again. He's professional, courteous and pleasure to do business with.

Mr. Grubbs did a great job on what turned out to be a small repair. My vintage sofa had a broken leg. I thought he was going to have to haul away the sofa. He wound up just taking the leg with him and coming back the next day to install it. Took him about 10 minutes. He was friendly and punctual. I will use him again!

Mr. Grubbs did a fantastic job repairing the finish, regluing the top, and did it with a quick turn around. As we talked about the table, he knew of the craftsman who built it back in the 1970's. I would recommend Mr. Grubbs' work to anyone.

I chose Grubb's because of a high rating on Angie's List. I called to ask about the repairs and determine how to drop off the furniture pieces to be repaired. The gentleman I spoke to was courteous and I decided to have them make the repairs. When I dropped the pieces off, I was told that there was a per hour minimum charge per piece which I felt was reasonable. They said that they could repair both pieces. When the repairs were complete, they called to say they were ready to be picked up, 5 days earlier than promised, which was about 2 weeks. I could not tell which leg of the end table had been repaired! Grubb's did an amazing job attaching and " blending" the repaired leg to the table. The Windsor chair belonged to my mother, is about 70 years old, and holds great sentimental value. The spindle repair was fantastic as well. if I look closely, I can see the break in the spindle where it was repaired but I cannot see that the spindle was reattached at the back or seat. I was really pleased that the original spindle could be repaired. I would definitely use Grubbs for future furniture repairs. The only advice I would give is to call before taking a repair to Grubb's as they are sometimes out of the office. If you speak to them and arrange time to meet, they will be there.

Kent Grubbs did great work on our end table and was a pleasure to work with. We had an end table that had been given to us for practically nothing, so we didn't want to spend too much repairing it, but it is also a nice older piece so we wanted to hold on to it if we could clean it up. Kent gave me two options for how he could go about refinishing the table, one that would involve cleaning up and staining the wood and would cost 150 and one that would involve stripping and basically redoing the whole table and would cost 300. He gave me his honest opinion that the less expensive option would probably be fine for what we were looking for and would still look very nice--and it does! The table looks wonderful and is totally stable now (its legs were coming apart before). Kent also had overestimated how much time it would take--he guessed between 2 to 3 weeks because of some other big jobs he was working on, but he ended up squeezing my job in and called me only about a week after I dropped off the table to say that it was done. I definitely plan on returning to him with future furniture repair/refinishing needs and would highly recommend him to others. I dropped off and picked our table since it was small, but he also does pick ups and drop offs in his van. The one thing I would recommend is calling ahead if you are planning to drop something off, since he is a small business owner and thus may be out on deliveries or pick ups or doing other things during typical business hours. Then he can tell you when he'll definitely be in before you drive over there.
