Same-day service requested just after 8 AM. The woman I spoke to advised me that the minimum one hour service call charge was $95. I was told that someone would be out after lunch. Got a heads-up call that the tech just arrived at his the stop prior to us at 12 PM. Rick was at my house at about 1:15 PM. He was very friendly towards my kids as they ate lunch. Rick climbed down into the basement to look at the indoor unit, then outside in the rain to look at the air conditioner. I showed him the problem I had trying to install my thermostat myself - there was not enough slack on the wires for me to place them in the thermostat housing. Within about 20 minutes he had fixed what I had done (I had tripped some sort of fault switch) and had properly wired up the housing for my thermostat. To ensure I was pleased with his service, he verified that my indoor and outdoor units were working, that we were receiving cool air at the registers, and that my thermostat was online. We settled my payment by check at my kitchen counter. As Rick was headed out the door, he offered me advice on saving money on my power bill with my programmable thermostat and heat pump. Painless, professional, and efficient.

.He took the time to explain what was needed and why. One he checked insulation determined we needed more. Needed to add a return duct as well as an intake duct. Electric box had to be updated because this is older house and we where at max. They took care of everything for one price. Meaning electric/insulation/new ac and furnace/ put return and intake duct and duct work through out making sure all passed with inspector and also informed us of rebates that would not have been known if he had not told us.
Other places we spoke with was just for A/C and furnace, if anything else was needed you had to find additional contractors to do the work your self.
Waited this long to do review because wanted to see how they treated you after the work was completed. Have found them to be just as helpful after the work was completed as they were before the work was completed. It has been almost a year now and have had no problems with A/C or furnace. Only had one small problem with the thermostat and it was defective and they came out promptly to take care of this.

It was long and drawn out (see above) and he seemed to be out of touch. I am a widow, age 64 and felt I was being taken advantage of.

The prices are very reasonable. I have been using them for over 10 years. I would highly recommend them. They are very responsive and I have always been satisfied with the work.

• At first I was a bit worried about the duct he wanted to run up thru the bathroom linen closet but everything turned out perfect. The duct (placed in a back corner) used as little space as possible and the cut in the tile floor was done professionally. The return vent was placed high in the wall in the hall and was much needed.

He suggested extra blown insulation in the attic (we only had 6and quot;), said it would make a big difference and it does. When we got home after the insulation was blown in we noticed they had also insulated the walls and under the stair treads leading up to the attic - no extra charge but he said it was needed.
The condensation line from our old A/C was draining into an old sump pump hole in the basement keeping the basement humid so they rerouted it to drain outside.
After hearing about my allergies Butch called back the next day and suggested I might like to have an air cleaner installed when he puts in the new furnace - I said YES and my allergy doctor was very happy when I told him about it!
All of the above were expert recommendations and have made a huge difference in air quality, comfort and electric bills ($98.00 lower the first month).

Standard AC maintanence call.

As stated before, extremely pleased.

The service was good, though it took them more time than expected to figure out the out the problem. I will use them again in the future.

The price for the last service wasn't much because they just had to replace something. It wasn't more than $70. They had such a good write-up and we have had them for a while, but sometimes I get frustrated. It depends on who comes. They don't have the time to explain things to you. Sometimes, they will just check the outside. When I ask them about the inside units, they will say that it doesn't needs to be checked when I feel that it should be. So, I am still trying to decide if I want to go with them or not. The guy who replaced the part when they were last here was pretty good. The price is mainly for the maintenance and I don't think they try to extort me on that. The cost doesn't jump up every year. Their quality is okay. We got the new air conditioning unit and the heat pump from them. It has been working for a while now. I don't know anything about air conditioning units. So, it's difficult to tell if it's good or not. Their responsiveness is really good since they come out quite quickly. Their punctuality and professionalism are both pretty good too.

Fabulous! I called them that morning and sent a repairman out that morning. Overall results - After having not 1 but 2 other companies come and supposedly repairing the problem, Edwards Metal Shop was the ONLY ONE that diagnosed the cause of my father's heater overheating - a dirty filter that had not been changed in over 2 years. They immediately fixed the problem AND they told us to change the filter every 6 months. Thank you!

All factors involved were very professional. I have a current need that I wish I could use this contractor, but the distance is too great.

A friend recommended them to me. I was very impressed, they've been in the business forever so I think he knows what he is doing. He is plain spoken and it's easy to understand what he's talking about and why I should make a decision about one thing or another. The crew was excellent, they were always punctual and clean. They came back a couple of times to make sure everything was working right. The system is much better than what we had before.

Service work has always been prompt. The instalation woek was done on schedule and in accordane with contract.

Butch Edwards helped us problem solve about where to locate the unit so that it wouldn't be so distracting when we're trying to enjoy the patio. We found a new location that works perfectly. His folks were prompt, courteous, absolutely neat as a pin inside and outside. Other than the comfortable temperature inside, you couldn't tell they'd been here!

The air conditioner that they put in for us has worked just fine all year. We have not had to have anything done to it. When they put it in, it took them almost three hours. We are very happy with both the air conditioner itself as well as the way it was installed.

My mother referred me to Edward's Metal Shop after my furnace caught on fire. The men were courteous and extremely helpful at a time when I really needed it. They came very quickly after my call and did an excellent job both with the installation and getting rid of all the mess caused by the fire. They have even come out twice since just to check and make certain everything is working properly, which it is. I highly recommend them to anyone.

The man who installed our new air conditioner was really nice. He got it put in and ready for us to use in just a couple of hours. We have not had any problems with it either. I am really happy with the new air conditioner and the installation.

I thought that the company was messy. They left a lot of debris around and were not friendly at all. You would think the least that they could do would be to clean up after themselves if they are not going to do good work. I have had problems since with the equipment as well. They came back to fix things but I just did not think it was good service.

This company was just superb to work with. I have been through several heating companies and have not been very pleased. Edwards does come back every so often to be sure that everything is still going good, which I think is very considerate of them. They did a good job, and they are very excellent people. I got a quote in the beginning and when I got my bill, it was right on the nose. How is that for expertise?

ONCE YOU HAVE FOUND A GOOD COMPANY, YOU STICK WITH THEM. I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR YEARS. THEY ARE REASONABLY PRICED AND DO GOOD WORK. THEY ARE PROMPT, EFFICIENT, AND FRIENDLY.

THEY INSTALLED MY OTHER HEATER THIRTY YEARS AGO AND THAT TELLS YOU HOW GOOD THEIR SERVICE IS. THEY ARE NOTHING BUT A QUALITY ORGANIZATION. I HAVE GOT TO BE CLOSE FRIENDS WITH THEM OVER THE YEARS.
