CHRIS'S TREE SERVICE

He requested money at the end to go buy something he needed to complete the service but never returned. NEVER pay until job finished.

I think it went very well. The tree was cut. The tree is now gone. No one was hurt in the process. No property damage of which I am aware. I paid Chris a bonus.

Excellent service. They were professional, prompt, and cleaned up afterward. Chris is an arborist and provided some valuable education on the trees on my property. I will definetly use Chris's tree service in the future.

I got Chris on the phone on the first try and got the prices for a load of firewood. I mailed him a check after our conversation and he delivered and stacked the firewood promptly. I'm just about to contact him for a reload, in fact (I'm writing this in January 2014) and that's when I remembered I hadn't gotten around to posting a review. I'm also going to be getting from him an estimate for some additional tree-trimming here at the house.
My firewood from Chris has been excellent. It's not junk, it burns clean, and it's cut to appropriate size for a standard wood-burning fireplace. It's all solid hardwood with just enough variety of sizes/cuts in the load so that I can control an ongoing fire well, while still being a pretty consistent cut across the whole load.

They were on time, worked hard, did the kind of job I wanted them to, and I would recommend them. They are also insured and very experienced.

From the moment I called Chris's Tree Service I received excellent customer service. They were quick to respond to my request for an estimate, came out and gave me great advise. Chris advised me not to cut down some trees that I questioned needed to be cut down which meant less money in his pocket, but he was honest. The day of service the team showed on time and confirmed the services to be preformed, they were professional in everything. They are one of only a handful of mom and pop tree services that have a CERTIFIED ARBORIST on staff (this may mean nothing to you but they know their trees and the do's and dont's). I highly recommend Chris's Tree Service and thank them for their great service.

He had a great web site and a lot of qualifications, but he was clueless. He came to take a tree down and he couldn't get it done by him self. We thought he was going to hurt himself. He seemed inexperienced to give us advice. A guy that came out later gave us great advice on what to do to make the yard more maintenance free. He just needs more experience in what he's doing.

Great, Have used before he does most of our neighborhood for years. Never any issues does the job on time cleans everything up and has a great reputation. Will continue to use Chris

I engaged Chris to remove a medium sized Bartlett Pear tree, grind up two old stumps and trim 3 maple trees that overhand the roof and gutters. He arrived promptly, proceeded efficiently and was happy to provide opinions and advice on his work. His workmen were very competent and careful in the pruning of 2 cherry trees which was not part of the contract. I would not hesitate to use Chris again.

Chris was most responsive. He kept in contact from the day I called. The estimate was $1500, but the total was $1850 due to my requests, not his changing the estimate. He is not an Arborist but has had 20 years experience. He gave advise on what to do and let me make the decisions. Within two days he began the job. His crew never stopped working. I could not believe their stamina and professionalism. The little guy that kept up with the chipping and clean up never sat down. They were here over a 3 day period. They took down 20 year old shrubs, Red Tips, (that looked like trees and took 4 hours in themselves), trimmed up a Sycamore and a Maple. They added a metal support and wire supports to the Maple. They took down a Bradford Pear that was at least 25 ft. high. The Ligostrums were huge and they trimmed those down to nubs. His crew member Scott is attending a landscaping college and also helped in my decision making. He was amazing to watch as he climbed up into the trees. He loves what he does and I believe he is a decendant from squirrels. I highly recommend this company. You won't go wrong.

It went pretty well. They are 20-year-old trees and he took a lot out of them. He was aggressive in what he did. He did what he said he was going to do and hauled it all away. He was neat. The price was a little high.

Chris is the 3rd tree person we've used. He has over 13 years experience and approaches this as somewhat of an art form. He knows his stuff, is pleasant and enthusiastic and his prices were competitive. He also started work within 2 days of giving us the estimate. He is not a timid pruner, so you need to be clear if you want a more minimalistic approach.Our neighbor hired him after seeing work he did at our house.
