Micah came to my home promptly. I originally wanted repair work done, but when he quoted me the price on new doors, I decided to go that route. It took a while to get the doors due to Covid-19 delays, but as soon as they came, he scheduled the work, it was performed in 1 day, great job, nice looking quality doors and lifters. I'm very satisfied. The installer worked hard and was very professional.

The job wasn’t finished. ?? I asked Greg to close up my garage bc my current door had gaps on the side. I was having a problem with bugs and birds getting in. The exterminator said it would eventually be mice and snakes! I expressed that my MAIN concern was getting the sides of the door sealed. He charged me $1,000 and I STILL have gaps on the sides!! My main problem remains. I contacted the owner with no luck in getting what I paid for. Very disappointed.

Excellent. I have an unusual garage door entrance in my old 1940s home that is anything but standard. Several other contractors told me that I would need additional work done to make the garage door possible (that is additional framing in of my garage door). I did have to have additional framing in, but Greg was the only person who said I would need less framing (frame down 3 inches instead of 6 which is what others were quoting). His price was also the most fair. Once the door came in, they came out here and installed it very quickly and professionally, and it now works great! I was very impressed, especially in the fact that he did what others said could not be done! Thank you.

I started out by having three estimates done and also compared prices and installation to local major chains. Went with Carolina Garage Doors. The estimate was made within 1 day. Greg came out and was very professional and was able to quickly make some notes and recommendations. He took some exterior pictures and followed up with a nice graphic rendition of what the garage door including color I selected would look like installed on the house. My original doors were wooden and had seen better days rotting from inside out. The old openers were older screw drives and I know now they were pretty much earth shakers when they opened. I liked that Greg was not pushing or up-selling anything and instead offered ways to save on cost by reusing old openers , tracks , etc. I made the choice for a complete install replacement including openers.
The installation team showed up on time as scheduled and the installation was done quick and professionally. I am a bit of a DIY type so noticed about everything done was quality - extra details in the quality rollers, heavier gauge hinges and stiffeners , ties on wiring , etc they went to to make it a very clean install. I went with the CHI doors and new Linear belt drive openers. The operation is smooth and super quiet. I highly recommend Carolina Garage Doors if your looking for a no hassle professional installation backed up with prompt local service.

Live person answered the business phone - said there would be a workman at my house that day. Workman arrived within 90 minutes. Quickly went to work, pointed out how to recognize when springs are getting old. Completed work in a little over an hour. Made a minor adjustment to a second door at no charge. While not cheap, the total seemed fair. Both doors operated quieter and smoother.

- I did not get any other estimates since Carolina Garage Door had installed the door in 2008. When I complained about the $350.00 cost the repairman called his "manager" and who said there was no longer any warranty on the work they had done. I had no choice but to write the check even though I felt $350.00 was unreasonable for the time involved and the job that was done
- I am writing this review after reading todays offer for the same work I had done (and even more) which is much lower than I paid. As I thought, I was grossly overcharged!
- By the way that check was teller cashed before I could turn around.

The doors that you bought on 1/30/2008 do have a warranty on the doors of 5 years and the springs have a warranty of 3 years. I can provide you with a copy of this warranty or feel free to go to CHI website at chiohd.com to obtain a copy of the warranty. The new replacement springs that were purchased for your door now have a lifetime warranty. Should that replaced spring ever break you would only be charged for a service call and the spring would be no charge. Our prices are comparable in the market. The $350.00 included all parts, installation and a tune up on your doors. Our deposits are typically made on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Your check happened to be brought in on Thursday July 27. If you will notice on the back of your returned check all of our checks are stamped with For Deposit only. The first time they came out it was $65.00, and they gave us 2 remotes. When my wife went to use the remote, it was able to open the garage door, but when she pulled out and tried to close the door, it didn't work.
We called them again to get the issue fixed. My wife called them and said that the remote for her car did not work.
This time, the charged her $85.00, and the remote still doesn't work.

Very Well. Professional and friendly. Not cheapest, but we got what we paid for! Very happy with end result. Raleigh office must be only a few staff, so a few time frame issues, but no big deal and they were very responsive.

Everything went great. They were able to come out the day after I originally called. It only took a couple of hours and would have been just one hour except that the house is built on a hill, and the basement/ garage ceiling is quite low. The extra cost was for the outside numeric pad, and for a couple of brackets that help keep the garage door slide lower than usual on the tracks. A word of caution to others though... It was my idea to have the garage door opener plugged into the electrical light socket, but I later found out that this socket turns off when the basement light is off, so now we need to make sure the basement light is on when someone has the car out.

Everything was cut and dry with no issues. It only took about half a day. Everything is still working fine. They did not leave any debris or trash at all when they were done.

We had no issues since the work has been done. We ordered the new door from them. When they removed the door, they hauled it away. Scheduling was very easy. If I had problems, I would remember. We have never had to call them back for service.

They did a fine job. The guy that came out did a pretty good job. I didn't like that they were not local so I only had a couple of days to choose from when they would already be in my area to do the work. For that reason, I probably wouldn't use them again. But other than that, I was pleased with their work.

We had no issues with the door. The installation went great. It survived a hurricane. The electrical system still works for fine. We have had no trouble with the door. We had no hassles with anything. They showed up on time and went right to work.
