BILL'S AUTO CLINIC INC

Took complete advantage of my elderly parents, their check engine light was on and had the car diagnosed at an auto parts store nearby using a diagnostic machine to find out it was something that literally costs around $200 to replace. My parents bring it to Bill’s, after a day or so come and get it and were told that wasn’t it and that it was something else for around the same amount of money. As soon as they leave, the light came on again. They brought it back and instead of fixing the problem they didn’t actually fix, they actually demanded more money on top of the original payment, which included literally a $140 oil change. No special kind of oil change, a normal oil change that has always been $20-40 for this vehicle. That alone should explain where I’m coming from Anyways, it was around four times total that Bill’s claimed they fixed it, they got the car and the light came back on again, Bill’s admitted it’s their bad and they’d actually fix it if they brought it back again, only to turn around and claim it was another issue and add on more money. Finally it happened again but they brought it to another mechanic and they fixed the issue that day for $200. Light never came on again, problem solved ever since. All in all Bill’s now is wanting something stupid like $1000+ for something they never even fixed and although admitting all along the way that they were stumped and it should be fixed and that they’d make it right if they brought it back in, now Bill, who had nothing to do with any of this and already apologized when brought to his attention and blamed his employees and said he’d fix it, is now trying to position it as though the car kept needing more and more repairs I know that happens sometimes but this car was fine, my parents are elderly and the kind of people that if a check engine light comes on they think they have to get to the bottom of it ASAP and are too trusting. Bills employees owned up to messing up multiple times, bill himself apologized and agreed it was stupid, and now when push comes to shove they won’t keep their word. They have a great reputation but if Bill himself isn’t involved I wouldn’t trust it, whoever this employee(s) were that took my parents for a ride obviously are getting away with it and Bill doesn’t care. They don’t have your back.
