From the very first meeting, the owner, John Tinney, demonstrated an aura of customer-oriented service and cooperation. He showed concern to the questions I had and came back with a very competitive bid.

His crew did an excellent job of preparing the site and cleaning up after themselves. Whenever I had a question, the lead painter immediately responded and made any necessary changes or corrections.

The painters actually did more than I was expecting and the final product looks terrific.

I had heard a couple of neighbors speak highly of Tinney Painting, as well as an old-time Wilmington resident and I am so glad that we chose them to do our house.

We could not be happier with the results.

I called to provide an estimation and they came the SAME afternoon. The following day two painters came, removed all the furniture, cleaned the whole deck and ramp and began the meticulous job of painting each and every and quot;picketand quot; along the three sides of the porch and deck. I was amazed at the detail the took in being sure ever area was covered perfectly. When I returned later in the afternoon (after a sudden and quot;cloud burstand quot; in noticed that a couple of areas had been missed. However, the following day, they returned and finished the job that had, obviously, been interrupted. The finished product was, and is, perfect in every way! The painters were both talented and, obviously skilled in their craft. The were, also, courteous and friendly. In addition, the office staff were extremely helpful! If you are looking for a truly professional painting job, indoors or out I would highly recommend Tinney Painting, Inc.

I know John personally so I called him to set up a quote to have my den and kitchen ceiling, walls and trim painted. Within minutes after speaking with John, his estimator by the name of Mike Whaley contacted me and set up a time to come out to my home and quote the job. This wasn't the first time we had hired Tinney for a painting job. Mike had quoted the previous job as well. After Mike and I spoke we decided to hire Tinney Painting again, but this time for all our interior painting and some small sheetrock repair concerning the ceiling. On the scheduled day to begin the painting project, three employees of Tinney Painting arrived at our home to start the project. John, Dave and Barbara were all very professional and exceptionally talented painters I would learn over the next two days. John was the project leader and the three worked very well together to execute every challenge of this job. John was also very talented with the repair of sheetrock. After only two days, my wife and I were amazed at the work that had been accomplished. The den and kitchen ceilings( 14' cathedral ceilings) ,walls and trim were completed with two coats of paint including a modest amount of sheetrock repair. We are still amazed at the fine job these three did. We will use Tinney Painting again in the future without hesitation. John Tinney is a long time respected painting contractor here in Wilmington NC. I have always found John to be a very kind and friendly person and also a man of his word. I have lived here in Wilmington NC for over 45 years and have come to know many people as well as contractors in the area. Quite honestly, I can't imagine using any other painting contractor than Tinney Painting.

Their quote was in the range as a few others we contacted, their crew were polite, neat, and professional.Satified with final job.

I haven't had a problem with this company at all.There prices are very competitively priced and the quality of work is exceelent . They are very wasy to deal with . The office staff is so helpful and friendly. I would use this company in the future.

I thought that they were very unprofessional. Half way through the job, he stopped the job and came to me to increase the price by $1100.

They were excellent, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. They checked with us daily as to what they planned to do and constantly communicated. I was very impressed and would use them again!
