I hired Chris Forrester, who informed me at the time he was in the process of changing his name from Tee Time to A Veteran's Lawn Care. He was very nice and presented himself initially as very professional. We paid him to do a complete spring cleanup, mulching, weeding, and mowing. Around $700.00. We asked him if he could stick to a specific day so we would always know when he was coming...because we had 3 dogs and wanted to be home when he came, and we had a pool with family and guest always swimming. He said sure, no problem.
There were a few minor errors by his crew that we just ignored and went with because we liked Chris and thought we had found a great company. He did the work, it looked good and he continued to mow our lawn. After several mows he came to the door and said he was going on a  vacation but his crew would cover the job. No problem.
They came and went........tick tock......tick tock......they never came back. NEVER. I called and called Chris as did my husband. We thought something may have happened to him. Nope. He just never came back, never returned our phone calls, never gave us a reason, nothing. There was no communication from him at all. No complaining from us to him or vice versa. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
He left us hanging and by the time we realized he just wasn't coming back our yard was overgrown and we had to scramble to hire someone new, who then charged us double because our yard was so overgrown and neglected. Still shaking my head wondering how a professional could do that...If he just chose not to continue with us then why not answer our calls, send a note, drop by and explain? There really isn't any excuse for treating customers so poorly. But still, I would really love to know!
Response from Tee Time Lawn Care
"I apologize that you weren't happy with our service. I had my crew scheduled to come to your property to conduct the lawn maintenance. Before leaving to go out of town, I informed my workers that if the payments weren't received before the work was scheduled to skip the lawn. Your lawn was two payments behind and our company did not receive that payment at that time. They called me and asked if they should do the bi-weekly maintenance on your lawn at that time, and I told them to skip your lawn due to negligent payments. We did receive your payment a week later and at that point I had already made the decision to drop you from our schedule. Once you are off the schedule, it is hard to bring you back on and with late payments, I figured a loss would be best."

"I would like to thank you for the constructive criticism and I will grow from this. I would like to address this situation from the beginning. When I first came out to give you both an estimate, I mentioned installing landscape screen in your shrub beds to prevent weed growth. Once I gave the estimated price verbally, you informed me that it would be taken into consideration and eventually, you both decided against it. I was informed that you wanted the cheapest way out to sell the home and I gave the estimated price on that and stuck to my original estimate. My company did do the lawn maintenance on a bi-weekly basis. We stayed one schedule and maintained the property until you both moved to FL (weather permitting.) I was contacted by your husband two months later on, after you cancelled lawn maintenance service. Your husband informed me at the time, that the house was back on the market and he wanted my company to resume service. At that time we did our best to schedule you both in for services that were discontinued two months ago. Once we arrived to continue service after two months the shrubs and weeds were out of control. I called you both and informed you on this. I was told to give an estimate and I provided the estimate. I never heard back from either one of you and I called again and was put off for anther month. Eventually, you e-mailed me and informed me that you were going to go with a new company to resume service (which at this time it was October and the grass is dormant.) My question is this... If my company did such a bad job, why would you want us for a second time? The answer is for you and everyone else to decide. To be honest, I do not feel like your grading on "angieslist" is fair. I can not control the weather and with my company, I have a strict rain policy. Example, if it rains on a Monday and the Ogden area is scheduled for maintenance for Monday, then the scheduled maintenance is due the next weather permitting day. Last, but not least, I served eight years in the military. I know how to be on time, work hard, get the job done right the first time, and follow through with my agreements. I run my company the way that is right and fair to ALL my customers. I do NOT show any favoritism to any of my customers, whether they are selling a home or customers that are scheduled for regular maintenance."

"I apologize that you were not pleased with our services. We did a soil sample from you property and the invoice was for $20 not $70. We never did receive payment so therefore, the results were not processed back to you."

Progress was good. It went extremely well. Provider started work on Friday and got most of it finished. They came back two work days later and finished up. They were very methodical about their performance and were explicit and repeated several times what needed to be done to help the sod take root. Provider advised what type of fertilizer I needed to put down and the times during the year, it needed to be done. I decided, since he knew his lawns so well, I would contract him to continue to maintain the lawn throughout the seasons. I am looking forward to a long and healthy lawn relationship.

They worked for 2 days and did not have any problems with them. In fact, they maintain my neighbor's property and they do it pretty well. I am planning to hire them to maintain mine too.

We were super happy with all aspects of dealing with this vendor. He provided a quote and details of what he would do in a very quick timeframe and completed the work as promised. He made it look like a whole new property, and will greatly enhance the ability to sell the property.

they were non stop at the job...one man started by blowing the leaves to one place

where they raked on a tarp to load on the trailer...
I have no comparisons for the price but I think it was a little too high...
the work was very through...

Removed leaves from front and back yard. OK - but I found the price to be TOO HIGH for the market, after the fact. Neighbors with larger lots paid less for the same services.
While I think Chris is a fine young man,and support his VETERAN status, I should have done more pricing research before booking him.
Will I use him again? Yes, if I am able to negotiate a better price.

Chris with Tee Time came out to my home and gave me an estimate of all the work he would do. He said he would call the day before
he came and he did. He called me on Sunday and came out on Monday to do the work.
He and his crew did all the work he said they would do and everything looked cleaned and neat. Chris and his crew did great work.
He is particular! He told me my driveway was so dirty he had to pressure wash it twice! I loved the fact he wanted to do his best
for me. He did use a concrete cleaner on the driveway. He could see that the driveway needed it and he did the job like it was
suppose to be done.
The yard work he did consisted of pruning a tree in my front yard, looks great and pruning and mulching and cleaning the
back yard. I am so glad I called him.
Thank you Chris. I will for sure call you again!

We live 1800 miles away from our house in Hampstead, NC. After researching lawn work on Angies List we called Chris. Since we had received reports that the yard was in terrible shape, we were anxious to get things put right. Chris said he could get the work done the next day. When he got on site he called us and described the problems, gave us a price and then went to work. After he finished he called us to report how it went and to get an email address to send us before and after pictures. He also agreed to meet us at the house when we arrive for the summer in two weeks to review yard conditions and plan additional work we will want done while we are in residence this summer.

We could not be happier with Chris or the results of his work. The price was good for the condition the yard was in

Chris, the owner returned my initial call promptly and was able to stop by that same afternoon to give me a quote. I was shopping for someone to to regualry cut my lawn through out the year and Chris gave me the best price as well as being very responsive. I initailly called in February, it wasn't time to mow yet, but as promised Chris came out and cut the grass as promised and did a fine job.

Chris, the owner and his assistant Brandon arrived on time with the proper tools. This was a difficult task because the hedge was around 15 feet tall and very deep. In order to reach the top of the hedge it required standing on an 8 ft. ladder and using a trimmer on a long pole. Chris and Brandon went straight to work, never a complaint, checked with me often in order to make sure they were trimming to the height and depth I wanted. In addition bushes from a neighbors yard were hanging over into my yard which they cut back to the property line. They used tarps to catch the cuttings and picked up any by hand that fell beyond the tarp. This job took over 5 hours and they didn't stop for a break, they worked through lunch. Very professional, very pleasant, very reasonable priced service. I would use them again and plan to in the near future.

Overall this was an excellent experience. My first contact was made 11/6/12 in the morning and made arrangements to meet the contractor for an estimate for later in the day when he completed work on another project. It started raining and he called me immediately to advance our meeting time. We met at the property where the tree removal was required. The work included the removal of 3 - 25' to 30' tall thin cedar tree from the backyard, cleanup and disposal of the trees. The work was complicated by the location of the trees in a 3' wide natural area between a 6' tall wood fence at the property edge and a purgola, and also by no access to the adjacent property. Since root removal was not possible, he agreed to cut the trees off below grade and refinished the natural area. I called the contractor the next morning, after not having any contact from another contractor, and accepted his proposal.
We agreeded to meet at 12:30 PM. He was on time and professionally completed the work without any difficulty exactly as we had agreed. The work was further complicated by the lack of vehicle access to the backyard and the trees had to be manually moved to his vehicle at the front of the property. The work was completed in 2 hours by 2 workers and the price included a $40 fee the contractor had to pay to dispose of the trees. The contractor was likeable, professional, punctual and affordable. I am planning future projects we can do together.

I went on Angie's List to find someone to cut my shrubs. I called him first with the thought of getting other estimates. He came within a few hours to the house and gave me a price. I immediately felt comfortable with him doing the work and i was proven correct.

Chris, the owner, was extremely responsive. he actually called me less than a minute after I had sent the email! We talked on the phone and I asked him to come and give me an estimate for some work on my front yard. he came by that afternoon, when he said he would, and we discussed what I wanted done. He wrote me up an estimate and after talking to him and discussing what we could do, I decided I would hire him. He's very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, helped me work out exactly what I wanted, and was extremely professional. he remained that way throughout the entire job, giving suggestions, sending me pictures of materials we might use and just being helpful. We scheduled a day for him to come back and start work and he was there, just like he said he would be. He finished everything in a day and a half, and it was alot of work!

Overall, I would highly recommend Chris and Tee Time Lawn Care to anyone who wants a professional with exacting standards to work on their lawn/landscaping. He is going to do some more work for me soon and I can't wait to see how it looks. My yard will soon be the prettiest in the neighborhood thanks in large part to Chris!

I will use Tee Time again. He is dependable and shows up at the time he tells you. His prices are reasonable for his services. He was very professional. He has a list of yard care stuff you can just check and return to him which lets him know exactly what you want. He will also suggest anything your lawn or shrubs need and you can decide what services you want. I have always been a supporter of smalll businesses in the community and Tee Time didn't disappointment me. When I called him (Chris) back to get on his schedule he recognized my voice which made me feel good! That is not something you get with large corporations. Overall I am very pleased.

I would greatly recommend this company!!!! Chris, the owner, is professional, friendly and hard working.

He always shows up on time and prepared. His estimates are a great value for the services he provides. I've hired other larger lawn companies in the area to do my yardwork, but they do not compare to the quality of service that Chris provides. He really took the time to perfect my yard (which by the way was a disaster before I hired Tee Time Lawn). Tee Time Lawn care is a great locally owned company. I would highly recommend calling them to anyone who needs some TLC for their yard.

Chris, from TeeTime Lawn Care, provided excellent service. He was very professional and patient as I told him my landscaping concerns. He was on time to the appointment and did a very good job, I am more than happy with the quality and price of his work. I had quotes from a number of other lawn care companies for the job and he had the best price. I am more than happy with his service and quality of work; I would highly recommend hiring him if you need lawn care in the Wilmington area!
