Locally owned. Allan Schroeder (Partner), former owner of Schroeder Roofing Inc, has been serving Wilmington and the southeast for over 35 years providing honest, reliable and professional service. We stand behind our work by providing excellent warranties and ensure top quality work by providing constant employee training, and by doing a comprehensive detailed inspection of every job upon completion. By building strong relationships with suppliers and becoming a member of several accredited contractor programs, we get you the best price on materials and keep ourselves ahead of the competition as well as knowledgeable about new techniques and materials to the industry. In addition to being an "A" rated Better Business Bureau Accredited company, we are also a member of several builders associations and certified contractor programs and have participated and completed the training and seminars to become as skilled and knowledgeable as possible and to get our customers the best warranties at no additional charge. I had done a lot of research before I contacted Southbay roofing. Many people have used them on Figure Eight Island and have been very satisfied. I met with Alan and choose a shingle for high wind and a underlayment that would work best in a hurricane area. Alan explain the various roofing’s shingles from the low end to the more expensive roofing. You can decide what your needs are and your budget. They clean up my property afterwards and I was pleased working with Alan and his daughter Rachel is very professional. Because of a complicated roof and high wind area I choose the most expensive product for my large beach house .

Allen Schroeder (owner) returned my initial call promptly. He arrived at the exact time/date to review my problem. Within days he emailed me a quote for the work to be performed. I agreed to the work scope and price. His team showed up within two weeks to perform the work along with some additional small fixes that were needed. All in all I was extremely happy with his responsiveness and value.

The roofers worked efficiently and neatly.  They cleaned up the property perfectly.  The job was completed in the time frame that we requested. 

The pricing of the roof was very competitive.

The most compelling reason to use this company was the help of the owner Allan Schroeder in determining our requirements for NCIUA mitigation of insurance rates. He was very knowledgeable about these very specific specs to obtaint a Bronze, Silver, or Gold certificate for a reduction of windstorm insurance rates in NC. We are applying for the bronze certificate. Other roofing companies, including the most expensive, were not familiar with these requirements.  Mr. Schroeder supplied me with the paperwork to apply for the mitigation.

Very pleased with the entire process.  Southbay Roofing was recommended by my contractor doing our carport.  Allen came out and provided an estimate for new addition and to do the remaining existing roof.  His guys came on a Wednesday and worked non stop (minus a rain day on Monday) and completed the project before noon on the following Wednesday.  Excellent group of guys and very hard working.  Cleaned up area each day and spent a considerable amount of time cleaning up after completion.  Definitely would recommend Southbay Roofing to anyone needing their services,  Will use them in the future if the need arises.

Southbay Roofing was excellent from the beginning. Allan provided us a quote one year ago but we couldn't do it at the time due to finances. He still honored the quote this year. He came in the year to do some repairs until we could afford the full replacement. His repair team was also very efficient. At the beginning of the project both owners Allan and Lou came over and made sure everything was being done correctly. Throughout the job, he was always very responsive and communicated very well. His team got the job done in a timely manner and they were respectful and knew their trade. They cleaned all the mess and we are very pleased with the result. Their office manager Rachel was very helpful and prompt in returning calls and emails.We have no hesitation in recommending this company to all homeowners.l.

The owner of Southbay Roofingy inspected the site and promptly provided a detailed proposal. I was struggling determining color from a small sample board provided by one of four other bidders and Southbay offered to put up full size sheets of shingles on the roof in the colors that I was contemplating, which helped immensely. No one else thought to do that. Their price was somewhat better than the other bidders but it was that service that made me choose Southbay to do the job. They also came highly recommended from a trustworthy source. They also did not demand a large down payment as the other bidders did, which said to me that they were financially capable to provide the materials required for the job and get it done. They started and completed the job on schedule with a crew of 5 skilled and hard working guys and did a fine job. The owner was there frequently to make sure the job was moving and that the workmanship was to his standards. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them.

It went outstanding. They did a great job. They did a great job removing the old roof and replacing it. They did it in a clean and orderly manner. The new roof was installed in the same manner. You could hardly tell that they had been there after the work was finished. They did a neat, clean, and effective job. They came back afterwards to double check their work.

Allen came out the day after we called. Started the following week and completed the job in 5 days. The workmen were very quiet, worked constantly and cleaned up well. We had a few very minor questions and Allen was immediately on the spot to answer them.

Allan and Rachael Schroeder are both true professionals. From the moment I called them they were responsive, polite and informative about the project. I even had to wait over a month from the estimate before I could start the work and they honored the original estimate and alerted me that the cost of the shingles was going to increase from the supplier and worked with me to get the pricing and ordering complete before the increase. They completed the entire re-roofing of a fairly large roof in less than 2 weeks. The friendliness of the workers and the quality of their work was superior. Allan has over 25 years experience in roofing and it showed in the little details including cleaning up after every day's work and at the end of the project. I would highly recommend Southbay for any roofing projects you have at home or business.
