Remodeling By Erik

Remodeling by Erik rescued our downstairs area on our second row beach home on Oak Island when it was hit by hurricane Isaias. The back wall was pushed away from the foundation by 3 feet of water that had been trapped inside. The area was not hurricane compliant so the water could not escape. Plus we had to pay exorbitant insurance due to being FEMA noncompliant. Remodeling by Erik installed FEMA compliant flood vents around the base of the home Which not only look nice but reduced our yearly insurance by almost 2K!. They also built a beautiful slat wall to replace the old solid wall thus creating more open space for water to flow out of and making a closed off, musty room more open and airy. Not to mention the slat wall is beautiful. Our outside shower was demolished by Isaias and they re-built a beautiful new shower. They also replaced our ruined water heater with a new one and had to troubleshoot the electrical that had been compromised. Take a look at our before & after photos! Erik and his team including Mike and Terry, are really nice folks to work with. They are currently renovating and expanding our tiny, outdated bathroom and we are super excited to see the results! We highly recommend them & look forward to working with them on future projects we have!??

Remodeling by Eric did a fantastic job for us during our time of need. Our home was severely damaged from hurricane Florence and frankly Eric, Michael and team did a great job in restoring not only our home but our lives as well. They were readily available when we needed or had questions during the rebuild and always answered or returned our call promptly. They did a good job, eventually. A project that they told me might get done in one week, "but give us two weeks just in case", took five weeks. This was critical, as the timeframe was one of the reasons i hired them. I gave them a punch list about 2/3 of the way through the job, and could not get a response (though they did fix some of the items) for weeks. Basically, the problem seemed to be that their project manager, Michael, who is a good, professional guy, is spread way too thin. Perhaps Erik, the owner, might actually get out on some projects and help out. When Michael went on vacation at the end of my project, there was no one for me to talk to, other than the office person, who knew nothing about the project details, of course. To add insult to injury, as soon as they did the last piece of work, weeks late, they immediately demanded payment--still no response to my punch list, still no walk through of the finished job. I gave them a B instead of a lower grade, because the work was good at the end, and Michael is a good, knowledgeable, helpful guy, they just need to hire another project manager so each project can get the attention it deserves. And finish the job before demanding payment, guys: finishing the job includes addressing the owner punch list and walking through the job with the owner. Oh, and don't lose Michael: without him, your grade would've been D.

Our contractor subcontracted to Remodeling by Erik. They painted over sheet rock dust and had paint splatter and overspray everywhere. The paint is peeling off the walls where they applied it and in other places such as between the door frames and corners there isn't any paint at all. And, to top it off, it took 12 weeks of painting to provide such substandard, poor quality work.

We called Remodeling by Erik late in the afternoon. Michael came out the next morning and gave us an estimate. The repair crew showed up that afternoon and had the repair completed in less than half-an-hour. The crew was entirely professional and left the site completely cleaned up as if they were never there. Even the shingles were a surprisingly good match (it was a 12 year old roof). Based on this experience we would not hesitate to call Remodeling by Erik again. Highly recommended.

All went very well. Erik was quick to get back to me to schedule initial meeting and then provided a timely estimate. His price was good! Once hired, work was started quickly, and crew was diligent about finishing work in a timely manner, despite some poor weather. Crew worked to keep a clean job site, picking up after themselves at the end of each day. Minimal mess, especially considering size and scope of job. Would definitely recommend Remodeling By Erik!

The work was in Hampstead, NC and I was in NY. I had a friend stopping by from time to time. They did everything I asked for and more. They took the furniture that was in the house and stored it in their warehouse. The work they did was absolutely wonderful. Everything was perfect. The tile was beautiful, the master bedroom especially. The new sunroom is spectacular. I am sure they will be putting the work on the their FaceBook page. They practically built me a brand new house. I love my home and will use Remodeling by Erik everytime I think of something else to do. I dealt mostly with Michael and he is lovely to work with.

It went quickly and well.  We were especially impressed with all the hard work and clever problem-solving of the plumbing crew as they figured out how to retrofit fixtures in the existing tub.

We purchased a 1984 Ranch Style home as a second home 07/2014. (built on cement slab). Living in MI and trying to re-model by tele. & internet was not the easiest task. I found Remodeling By Erik on Angies list and hired him Dec/Jan to basically install floors and new kitchen cabinets.  Erik coordinated the delivery of my internet flooring purchase and made sure his employees were at my house to unload the semi. We rented a large Penske truck and brought down part of our belongings in Feb. 2015,  so it was imperative that the floors were installed before we arrived and Erik made sure that happened.  The rest of the kitchen install and "other"  additional services were done after we arrived. Erik worked with me to complete these new projects.  I believe Remodelingbyerik did a good job at a fair price.

Erik is great. He is honest, trustworthy and cares about the quality of the job. His work came out better than we expected. 
You are lucky if you get him.

They updated the bathroom for me and did some work on my deck outside. He was always anxious to respond to me. Overall, he did a pretty good job.

Erik is a craftsman and is meticulous. The floor installation was done to perfection.

Project completed and met all expectations. Sub-contractors all arrived in timely fashion and preformed in a professional and competent manner . Excellent work. Project completed per schedule. Excellent cleanup by sub-contractors. All questions answered immediately and professionally by Erik. Overall a very satisfactory experience.

Erik was contacted on a Friday about replacing a ceiling fan on a very high ceiling. His crew arrived on the following Wednesday and unfortunately they had rented a ladder that was too short. They came back promptly the next morning and installed the fan in 45 minutes.
