Pet Paradise Wilmington

We take our miniature schnauzer to Pet Paradise for Grooming and Boarding. He had at least 4 groomers before we came there and always got bad reports and horrible cuts and was very difficult to work with. Stephanie at Pet Paradise has been grooming him for the past 3 years and he always has a wonderful cut. He loves her. He runs to her everytime he sees her. He has never done that before. He stays there also while we are on vacation. He is always happy when he comes home-not sad and diminished as he has been at other places. He can't wait to get in the front door.

The groomers are fantastic.  I completely trust this facility with my pets.  My dogs are always happy and healthy when they leave Paw Beach.  In fact, my dog was staying there through the holidays and he started acting funny.  They knew something was wrong and took him to the vet, with me still in another state for the holidays.  The next day, he was unable to walk.  They took him back to the vet and determined he had a degenerative disc disease.  My dog had surgery and has made a full recovery due to their top level care.  By the time, I could get back to Wilmington, my dog already had the care he needed!

Everything was great, I loved that I could watch my dog on the webcams. He was certainly worn out by the end of the day however the cost per day is more expensive than other local day cares. The only thing that sets this place apart is the pool which is an additional cost. At an extra $10 a day to swim I would expect more than one 20 min swim session a day. The staff is very friendly and attentive so that was defiantly great!

The only thing that I don't like about them is that they don't have people in their facility 24 hours a day and everything that they have for the dog there is literally on a la carte menu thing.  They charge $30 a day for going to school and boarding is about $50 a day a dog.  They play, eat and sleep in there.  One of the owners is a veterinarian.  I came from Atlanta, so they had dogs 24 hours a day and somebody there.  They at least had one or two people 24 hours a day.  The only negative I have is the price and it is a little high.  The previous boarding place had one person for 10-12 dogs, but here it is different.  They used to make big dogs play together and little dogs together.  Here, if a dog is vicious and doesn't like other dogs then they put them in another room.

It's nice to go to Paw Beach Pet Resort especially in summer time. It's absolutely amazing there. The staff takes underwater pictures of my dog and it's really nice.
