A friend of mine recommended this company. Once I called Mr. Page, he visited our home to check the heater location. Next day his team came with a new heater (50 gal), After replacing the heater they took the old one out with them. They were very professional and friendly. Made sure that area was clean after they completed the work.

Since I had used Pages once before and he responded quickly and helped me out, I gave him a call for this, which was late on a Sunday morning. Within less than 10 minutes, Mr. Page responded. He asked for details and then inquired if this was an emergency, explaining to me that on a Sunday, it would be charged a time-and-a-half. I thanked him for his honesty, but said to come on out after he took care of his immediate customer.

Mr. Page showed up about an hour later and we went over the issues. He then gave me a couple of options, with one of them trying to save me money again, by having me make the fix based on what he told me. I thanked him yet again for his help, but said to go ahead and fix it himself, to give me peace of mind.

He had to run up to Lowes to get some parts, only because he had so many emergencies the day before, that his normal inventory of spares was depleted for this particular need. Within 10 minutes, he was back and gave me a temporary solution for the rest of the winter. He will come back in the spring to finish reattaching some items, which is exactly what I needed.

Two things stand out in dealing with Mr. Page:

1. His candor and honesty in trying to help out the customer without over-charging him

2. His knowledge about the business and various options in order to give the customer some alternatives to fixing a problem.

If any future issues related to plumbing occur, Mr. Page will be the very first person I call.

As a side note, the first time I used Mr. Page, he fixed a hot water heater issue with a thermostat replacement, when one of the other plumbing companies wanted to replace my water heater. That saved me quite a bit of money and made me a fan of him.

I have used Pages Plumbing Co for over 15 years because Mr Page and his employees are prompt, efficient and reasonably priced. For example, I had water around my hot water heater and suspected I needed a new one...Mr. Page came out and said I only needed a new valve...cost was nothing compared to a new water heater. How nice to have honest tradesmen in today's greedy environment.

Response from Page's Plumbing Co
"We certainly appreciate the member's report. Most of my competitors are billing $95.00 - $135.00 per hour. We are attempting to stay at $85.00 per hour as long as we can. We regret that we did not recieve an A on price, but if we billed any less per hour, we could not provide the quality service that we do."

Our 4 year old water heater started leaking on Saturday the 5th about mid-afternoon. We called Mr. Page and left a message which was returned in less than an hour. He told us the water heater should be under warrantee, but the store where he needed to get a replacement had closed at noon, and we would have to wait until Monday. He then told us that we could use the heater, but cautioned us to not leave it on while not at home due to the possibility of an electrical fire. Monday, we had aother commitment during the morning, but he willingly worked around our schedule, and had the old water heater removed and a new one installed in the afternoon. The men who did the work were very personable and professional. We certainly would call on this plumbing company to do other work in the future. In addition, we used the Angie's List coupon and saved 5% off our bill!!!!!

I selected Pages based on similar work described in Angie's list. Mr. Page looked at the existing situation, drafted a plan, and provided an estimate based on that plan. The work was performed as described and we agreed to add bathtub P-trap and utility room supply lines to the scope of work. Total work time was about 1 and 1/2 days. The crawlspace drain line replacement was known to be a tough job because the drain line is located about 50 feet from the crawlspace access door and the crawlspace under the kitchen drain is only about 12 inches from ground to floor joist. I explained that the work was a long term project, not an emergency, and could wait a few days or weeks. The work was delayed about a week from original schedule due to other customer's emergencies. They could get a fully excellent rating if they would notify customer more quickly when work is delayed. However this was a matter of whether I needed to stay at the house, and did not affect anything else. Their bill was fully itemized and understandable. I liked their work, their crews and would hire them again.

The cable company destroyed our irrigation system when they laid a cable in our yard. Mr. Page was very nice on the phone and his workers were extremely helpful and professional. They were very understanding about my wanting something in writing to show exactly what happened. I was very pleased with this company and will likely use them in the future. Because of them, I was able to get the cable company to fix their mistake with very little argument.

Most recently, they installed plumbing lines from the house to the pond. The workers are always clean and respectful of my home. I've recommended them many times with great success. I can't recommend them highly enough. My husband is actually a licensed plumber but with a busy schedule, I count on Page's.

Project took much longer due to bad information from manufacturer which required purchase and return of two units before Page Plumbing was able to install a water heater unit that fit into a tight space. Counter top had to be un-installed and old fixture removed; electrical requirements that would have needed permits determined that I would return to the tank-type water heater. Electrical contractor also very professional, on time, very concerned with safety requirements but expense was much higher that I expected.

Homeowner had attempted repair himself but ran into numerous problems. The inability to shut off the water to the tank being the last straw that resulted in calling in professionals. Plumbing company contact (Willie Page) thoroughly reviewed the situation with the homeowner by telephone so as to ensure that the repair team had all the necessary parts and supplies (correct thermostats, elements, valves). A two-man team was promptly on site the next morning as promised. The repairs were made efficiently and effectively. The removal of the large amount of sediment resulted in taking a considerably more time than otherwise would have been expected. There must have been at least 50 pounds of sediment (13 years of community well hard water scale). They were polite, cleaned up after themselves, and considering the amount of time (three and a half hours), reasonable.
