Newcomb and Company - Wilmington

I had a new home built and the contractor that installed the HVAC system made many errors in the installation. The original contractor ( a well known local contractor) came numerous times to attempt to repair the "botched" system. Numerous times I had no heat in the winter and no A/C in the summer. I finally convinced my builder that this company was incompetent and a search was made for a reliable, well rated contractor that was willing to take on the task of correcting all the problems with my system that were created by a competitor. Newcomb and Company in Wilmington came to my home and evaluated the system. A comprehensive plan was provided to repair the design flaws in my system. Having faith in Kurtis Hoffman of Newcomb, I authorized the necessary repairs to correct the system. One of the oversized units was replaced, ducts were added to the system and zones were added along with the addition of a fresh air system. During the repairs and redesign Kurtis and his top A/C tech, Tom, discovered one of the exhaust vents to the outside for the gas furnace was not installed properly causing carbon monoxide to back up into my home. Obviously not only did they correct the design and installation problems, they discovered and corrected a potentially life threatening problem. During all this, they treated my home like it was theirs. Every day the house was left spotless and all materials were removed and disposed of by Newcomb. Being a very fussy person, I can only say that these folks were "top notch". I could not have chosen a more qualified and professional company to repair my system. Moving forward, they will be the only ones that service my system. Thank you Newcomb and Company and hats off to Kurtis Hoffman and Tom. The owners of the company should be proud of you both!
