Muscle Movers Inc.

The owner of this family company made a good impression at the meeting for the estimate but it ended there. I hired him but it did not go the way that it was planned. First of all, furniture such as chests, dressers, etc. was supposed to be shrink wrapped ---NOT. Other furniture was supposed to be wrapped in moving blankets --NOT. During unloading, it began to rain very hard and they kept unloading so most all of the boxes were wet and came apart with a few dishes breaking in the process and the furniture got wet so we had to really hurry to dry it off so it wouldn't ruin the wood!!! After the things were unloaded, the owner changed the amount owed because it took longer that what HE had estimated!! Also, it has been 8 weeks and the company still hasn't paid anything for what they broke although he said he would pay. DON'T HIRE THESE GUYS!!

They exceeded my expectations. Professional, extra care to my items, on time, great hard working people. I have moved many times, but they are simply the best and in addition the best price. Integity and quality.

Men were lazy and slow. I was paying by the hour. 
They came unprepared, no supplies. 
They were very unorganized and had bad attitudes. 
They were very careless with my belongings. 
They dropped boxes. 
All my crystal was broken and all the plates from my China were
shattered to mention just a few. 
Each box was marked yet not one box was put on the right
floor. 
The move should have taken 3 hours instead took 9. 
None of my good furniture was wrapped in blankets even though 
I had about 10 mover blankets. 
The bill was more than doubled because they were so 
they were so slow. 
They also used parolees with anklets. These men 
had violent crimes. 

Beware and don't use these careless movers

We needed a mover on short notice and found Lionel on Angies List. He and his crew of Tim and Travis arrived early and got the job done in a short time. Lionel is an extremely pleasant and professional person and his crew as well. They were very attentive to making sure all was moved in order as we were dropping off some at a storage unit and other items at our home. We were stressed out trying to empty the house for a real estate closing 2 days later but Lionel eliminated all my anxiety. The whole crew was polite and gracious even after we added a last minute unexpected load of boxed goods. Thank you Lionel, Tim and Travis. You exceeded our expectations.

We had a flawed move from Ft Lauderdale to Wilmington with Allied movers. They scratched our beautiful teak floors so badly that they paid for them to be completely refinished ! I called Muscle Movers to move our furniture out while the floors were being done ,,and then they moved our furniture back in. Very professional, quality folks, and very careful with our bulky antiques! Lionel supervises his team and makes sure we are all pleased with the move. I could not imagine a finer person to call for moving assistance! I rarely review businesses, but Lionel is THE guy to call for moving!

Lionel was very friendly, and I wish I could give him an "A" - I really do - but I can't...for a number of reasons:
·      First of all, he arrived over 3 hours later than expected. The move, itself, went very well. They placed the sofa in the living room where it needed to be and everyone was very nice.
·    My second issue is that he'd told me it'd cost $135, but after they finished, he told me it'd be $175, so that wasn't cool.
·      Then my third and biggest issue came after they left: The sofa had been packaged in this massive cardboard box. When I went down to the carport at my apartment complex after they left, I discovered they'd partially broken down the cardboard box and then left it beside our trashcans out in the middle of the carport, not only obstructing the carport, but leaving a big mess that I'd have gotten fined for if I didn't clean up (my name and address, after all, were all over the box). If I'd had a truck, perhaps I could've taken the box to a dumpster -- that's all they had to do. But - then - I don't have a truck...which is kinda why I needed Lionel's. I had to spend the next 40 minutes with a box cutter, systematically cutting the giant box (I'm talking 8 ft x 4 ft x 4 ft) into pieces small enough to fit in our trash/recycling bins. ...That's just the way I wanted to spend my evening...after over-paying someone to put ONE piece of furniture in my house. Needless to say, I was quite unhappy.

They showed up as promised, on time, (on very short notice-after another service cancelled on me)! They packed all of my stuff from a three bedroom house that was over-stuffed(think halfway to Hoarders!) and loaded(packed) it into a shipping container with care, a cheery disposition, and professional manner. They cleaned after themselves! swept or vacuumed as they went! They had me inspect each room as they completed the work, and made sure I was satisfied before moving on to the next room. They clarified what was to be done as they worked. They bagged up trash and hauled it outside to the place I designated! They were polite, and worked faster than I could have ever imagined they would! The cost was more reasonalbe than I had expected - in light of the task at hand!

Lionel along with his son arrived on time and took care of the many small items that were moved. Nothing breakable was involved so it was pretty straightforward. The other 2 companies I met on-site gave me estimates north of one thousand dollars, so Muscle Movers should be called due to their competitive pricing.

Lionel did it all when and where he was supposed to. They looked at the items to be moved, filled up a 24' truck and braved the Florida heat delivering on time and on budget. His 2 man crew had their hands full but did a great job.  Thumbs up for team leader Curtis! Thanks guys!

The move went very smooth.  They came on thur 6/21 had my thing loaded in no time.  Moved some items for me and were gone.  The next day they  delivered my things to VA at 7:00am and were done in about 3 hrs.  The weather was hot and I had a 3 story walk up to my apt.  They did a great job.  I would recommond them to anyone who need a mover.  Mr. Waterman was very easy to work with.

Overall, some parts were done well. They were on time and moved the furniture to the new location and set up the bed up.However two of the packed boxes were left at the previous address and when we reported it they did not come back to get the boxes.Two of the packed stem ware glasses were broken,

This is the third time we have chosen Muscle Movers. That's unprecedented in our long history of many moves. We never used any mover twice. We were never satisfied enough.  Lionel Waterman says he will take care of everything - and he and his wonderful crew of professional movers do exactly that.  Lionel and Curtis' last words to us were "Are you satisfied with the move?" Indeed, yes!  A thousand times over. Professional, punctual, honest, and patient best describes their business ethic. We're proud to know these good folks.

They were on time and did a great job.  They were very efficient and I would use them again.

When I first spoke to Mr. Waterman, he was very professional and exhibited a desire to do the job.  Since my plans were not concrete, I spoke to him a couple of times during the week to let him know the status and he was easy to reach and flexible to my plans.  He and his two men showed up on time. They were very courteous, professional, and had a good attitude.  They moved my items with care and worked quickly.  I was very pleased with their work and would definitely recommend them.
