Lowe's pricing was fairly reasonable after shopping around. They went out of their way to make sure we understood everything they were doing and putting up with changing the plans two or three times on certain items before making a final decision. We were very pleased with the two main departments we worked with at Lowe's.

The subcontractor that installed the counter tops did a very good job. They were very professional. The price was reasonable.

Not well. I did not get what I wanted which was shades that go from the bottom up so that the bottom half of the window is covered first (correct description in shade lingo: top down). Instead I got shades that go from the top down so that the top half is covered first (bottom up). Their terms are very confusing and misleading as far I'm concerned. They were willing to reorder, but it was going to cost more. What I paid was $300 more than the original estimate as it was, and I am not willing to pay additional. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed that I do not have what I wanted.

I was explicitly clear in the store when getting the estimate what I wanted. That person needs to do a better job of telling the customer the correct terminology to use with the installer. The person who does the measuring needs to do a better job of determining exactly what the customer wants because it was from his details that the actual order was made.
