Long Leaf Organics is a Lawn and Garden company that offers customized services to give you an outstanding lawn and garden. We specialize in dissecting and correcting lawn issues as well as other problems within the landscape. We will collect a soil sample and then blend our own organic fertilizers to better improve your plant AND soil, by correcting nutrient deficiency which is a common underlying problem with lawns and landscape in our service area. Our costs are budget friendly and we offer free estimates. If you would like a thick, healthy, durable lawn and/or increase the quality and yield in your garden, then Long Leaf is the company for you! Aside from using organic fertilizers and soil amendments we are licensed and trained to use chemicals. We use chemicals sparingly and only when needed with the over all goal to reduce and eliminate the need for chemicals in your landscape. You can have a beautiful lawn and landscape and create a healthy and safe environment for your children and pets! Other services include installation of raised vegetable gardens, landscape restoration, pine straw and mulch installation, soil testing, lawn aeration and more. Well, our lawn is much better than the neighbors but they don't do much to treat it. The only thing I have to say is that in the spring I had his employee come back to treat certain areas, I think they missed. Also. I don't hear from the owner operator unless I contact him. An early spring, we talked of plans for the back lawn that we were going to discuss but he didn't contacted me.

could not have gone better. I am extremely pleased. Professional, competent & really nice guys. I especially appreciate Brian's expertise in native-to-area/more appropriate plant recommendations. Gone: messy laurel oak/weed trees, sago palms (safe only to 15 degrees), knock-out roses & hybrid azaleas. Replaced with crape myrtles, hydrangeas, sabal palms, european fan palms, drift roses & a gold cypress. Going to be stunning next year!

They are always punctual, courteous and professional. Brian is very accessible and friendly and provides personalized organic care for our lawn. They do a great job with occasional landscaping needs and make great recommendations for cost savings and specific plants that will work. He is honest about explaining that things take time and that we will see improvement over the years. Very informative and willing to answer questions and work with what you have and what you need. As a cancer patient I am thrilled with the organic aspect although the weed spot treatment does involve some chemicals. But the way it works is that over time with proper treatment and care, your lawn will improve and the amount of weed spot treatment will decrease. Very happy with their service and highly recommend.

I first met Brian (owner of Long Leaf Organics) in 2010 when he was working for a company that provided organic fertilization. When that company went out of business in this area, Brian decided to open his own organic fertilizer business in 2012. I was delighted to continue as a customer of Brian's. I have always found Brian to be courteous, knowledgeable and punctual. He listens carefully to any concerns we have about our lawn and strives to find solutions to our lawn issues, which are a challenge with the sandy soils we have in Wilmington making growing grass difficult at best. Brian is also realistic and honest about what he can and cannot accomplish. If he feels an area of our yard is not conducive to growing turf he suggests other options such as ground cover that would work better in shady areas. I really like that Brian uses organic fertilizers that do not harm our environment and that are safe for pets and children. And I like that he bases treatments on soil testing rather than assuming our soil is the same as others in the area. Plus his pricing seems quite reasonable compared to other companies. Brian provides us with a detailed invoice every February that breaks down the service showing exactly what he plans to provide and what each service costs.
Our yard looks so much better since Brian started caring for it and our turf looks great compared to other lawns in our area. I have had several neighbors comment on how great our grass looks and I have confidently referred several neighbors to Brian. These neighbors have all had positive comments about the service they received. I wish all business owners were as prompt in returning calls and emails as Brian has been. I will continue to use Brian and his Long Leaf Organics business and would highly and confidently recommend his services.

They use organic materials instead of fertilizers. We first met at a garden show and it sounded like we were going to get this really nice turf looking like golf course type lawn and it really didn't turn out that way. It's a little expensive. We were a little disappointed in the turnout.

After moving into our new home, we needed someone special to help plan our idea of a garden complemented by an entirely edible landscape, and also to find ways to take care of it organically because we really did plan to eat everything we were growing. Brian initially installed our berries, including strawberries, blackberries and raspberries. He was extremely conscientious and planted each one with great care. They have all done very well, and we're looking forward to increasing our yield each year. Next Brian helped us plan our garden and installed several raised garden boxes made of cedar, and has helped us to identify and place other edible or usable plants to make our backyard everything that we had wanted. He has been extremely reasonable and provides great service at a fair price.
We have greatly appreciated his knowledge and ideas, and we definitely feel so much better that Brian is using organic treatments. Everything looks great, including the lawn, and we really do eat our way across the yard! We love what Brian has helped us create and owe a great deal of that to Brian and his team. We highly recommend him!

I have been using Long Leaf Organics for over (2) years and I could not be more pleased. When Brain first started working with my yard, the grass was dead and the yard had areas where there was no grass at all. After, the first year I could really tell a difference, the grass was a lot thicker and it was green. Also, the customer service is some of the best I have ever received. It really is a great company and you will see results.
I told Brian I wanted to add some color to my yard this year and he knew exactly what plants would work best. I cannot say enough positive things about this company and no he is not a relative, just an honest person that does a great job and does what he tells you he will do.
