Hutch's Dr. Energy Saver

Insulation to help reduce noise from wine bar to upstairs apartments. Months later a leak in the ceiling downstairs showed the entire attic was not insulated. Attempt to contact owner both by phone and mail was unsuccessful. The salesman responded to the call and letter. He was extremely nasty. Never did hear from Hutch, the owner. We lost both tenants in the apartments, never received the energy rebate or reduced utility bills as promised in addition to losing both upstairs tenants.

I was very pleasantly surprised to find there is still a company that does what it says and backs it up with service and warranty. They even come back after the job to make sure everything is done right and then again in 30 days.

The work was completed in a timely, professional manner. The workers cleaned up after themselves very well. I felt the price was a little high but the quality of work and timelyness made up for the high cost.

Horhay & crew worked very hard to accomplish stated work. Finished work area was done neatley and left work area & stains clean!

Our home is so much more comfortable and our electric bill has already gone down! We're getting a rebate from Duke energy since we had new energy efficient insulation put in which is a nice bonus. The energy audit was very thorough. The technician that came out to do the audit took pictures to show us what needed to be done. There were two crews that came out to do the work, one crew did the attic while the other did the crawl space. They were able to finish the work within 4 days. The crews were great, they were on time, and they cleaned up after themselves. They also took after pictures to show us the changes that were made. Another thing that was great about Hutch's Dr. Energy Saver is that they have financing options available. It was a great experience overall and I would recommend them to others.

Hutch's team did an incredible job. They first came out and did a complete energy evaluation of our entire home and presented the right solutions. The job was done in a timely fashion. The mold was taken care of and the moisture issue was delt with. Our health issues were instantly better and we have a clean crawl space that is healthy and making our home more comfortable. Hutches team even went above and beyond and helped us correct issues with duct work under the house as well.

Poorly. Work took over 6 months to complete. There were many delays. Workers did not show up multiple times. Then the crew did show up when we were not expecting them at 7am. It took 2 months just to get the deck ready for the windows. Once the windows were in, the door had to be changed out 3 times. First the door opened the wrong way, then the opening for the door knob was a foot to high and they left us with no door while we waited for the final door. Each time, this took 2-3 weeks. The work crew left all of their trash, we had to take it to the dump on our own. Many no shows of the work crew and Hutch was not responsive at all to my many calls. Signed contract with the salesman, Doug Richard, who was great on 4/28, work was not completed until 10/16. The final project was great and we are mostly happy with the results (one window doesn't slide well) We do love the results and it is a favorite place for watching football. There is a picture of the finished project In summary, EZ-Breeze windows are GREAT but you do not want Hutch Sunrooms or Hutch Home Solutions to install them.

There was one complication after another one. The crew he had out here when he did the siding, windows and the roofing, did absolutely fantastic work, without any question. I don't know what the problem was. The garage was supposed to have been started about four months sooner than it got started. We had to refinance a second time on it to get it to get through. So we were not happy with the entire thing, as far as with doing the garage. We were not happy with it at that point. He had some personal problems that developed in between the two. But, that shouldn't affect the work situation or getting started. It went to the point that now instead of having one mortgage for the garage part, we have two mortgages for the garage part, which is not making us happy even now because that drags on for a number of years. They were saying that they couldn't get the concrete poured because it was too cold. With the house part, we had no complaint. They were speedy. It was a crew of Mexicans and we couldn't understand a thing that anyone of them was saying except for one guy. He knew some English, but not a lot. They got here and one was doing one thing and the other one followed it up right with what they were supposed to be doing. It was like an assembly line. His crew was marvelous. It had nothing to do with the crew. The garage looks really nice, when it finally did get finished. His crew was absolutely marvelous and if they ever needed a referral, we would be glad to give them a referral. It was logistics. The materials wasn't here on time. They hadn't been ordered for the garage. It was just one thing right after the other one, just continually. For that reason, I would not recommend him. I did recommend him to one person that was having some major work done on their house. That was before everything really backfired with the garage. I'm hoping that they didn't have a problem because they were doing major work. For months after it was completed, the sub contractors were coming to the house, knocking on the door, wanting us to pay them directly. They had not been paid and that was a good six or eight months later. They still had not gotten their money. That was the people that did the concrete work for it. Some of the others then came even after that, trying to get us to pay them directly.

I wrote an initial review when the porch was initially built and everything was great.
After a year we had a minor issue with the hardware for the door. It came out and I wasn't able to put it back together.  I come to find out after I called that they are moving away from doing sunrooms or don't do them as much. After 3 calls Hutch finally came out to the house ( i left him what hardware I had ) only to tell my daughter I'm missing a piece! I call back to tell them AGAIN and they never bothered to call back or come out. I basicly gave up and was tired of dealing with them over this stupid door. I truly like the work that was done but if you want an alluminum porch I would shop around. I would hesitate to recommend them now since they are no longer staying in that side of the business.

All work was done professionally , on schedule, and with no interference with any systems in house.

Initially they kept pushing back the start day. Instead of telling us that they would start next week, they kept saying tomorrow for 5 days. After they started, it took another 5 days to finish the job. They sent several persons to work on the roof for several hours every day. All our neighbors with similar house size had their roof replaced in one day (as they used other companies).

They were able to repair a leak in the roof, and they repaired some gutters as well.

On time install at good price, but had to come back for rework however, rework need never questioned or grudgingly done.

Service Provider informed me that he couldn't do work, advised me to get refund.

Went pretty well, some missed communication, a little longer than projected  but over all went well

Never showed for the first 2 appointments with lots of apologies ( that they are good at).  Finally received a call from a manager  named Jason --252-230-3062 who promised not only work would get done but he would also refund me my $59.00.  Received a call from a gentleman named James who said he would be out to do the work.  I had described the work and the height of the repair.  He turned out to be a local area manager unequipped to do the job.  He took pictures, said the company had "overextended itself on both Angies List and Amazon.com"  but promised a team out within the next week to do the work PLUS do some extra items for free such as place new boots around the vent pipes on the roof and straighten out the ridge vent.  Over two weeks later and still nothing done.  I have tried to contact James several times via text as we had been communicating and this time with NO reply.  Who do I get my refund from?  Am about to call BBB on both this company and Angie's List if I don't hear something SOON!!
