Gene's Tire Service

Diagnosed problem and gave estimate. Once initial problem fixed determined more was wrong. They thought out of the box and fixed the problem hubs rather than replace them.

Inspection revealed that the tire could not be repaired because the leak was coming from a plug that had been previously installed. Replacement of the plug wasn't feasible because its position on the tire subjected it to maximum pressure during a right hand turn(cause more damage fixing than leaving it alone). They suggested that I live with the slow leak until the other tires required replacement. No charge for the inspection.

We have used Gene's for many years and have always gotten great service at a very reasonable price. They have saved us a lot of money. We have several boat trailers with brakes and they have fixed the brakes several times for us. It is one of the few places that will work on boat trailers.

Gene's Tire Service's rates and prices for installation are extremely reasonable with other Wilmington prices. They are very punctual from the standpoint of if you pull into the lot and there's 40 cars you know to turn around and leave to come back later. I've never had to wait more than 30 minutes to get started on the car. I've never had a problem with any of the tires or anything happening once they've been installed. Gene's Tire Service are very trustworthy, listen very well because when I go in to ask for a 40,000 mile warranty they don't try to sell me something with 100,000 miles that cost me more than my house. The service is exceptional.

They are good and fairly inexpensive. They will even drive you somewhere if your car is getting serviced and its going to take a while.
