Magic performed all the work as agreed and worked quickly.
When I first learned I was going to need a new compressor from my wife and she had already agreed for the work upon returning home I was concerned.  I had used Four Star several times on smaller jobs, but this was a lot of money.  I called Magic and asked him to put the project on hold and that I'd have an answer by the next day.
I wanted to confirm the price was acceptable and I quickly checked Angie's List to see if there were any negative reviews.  I didn't find any reviews and I figured people are real quick to complain so if there was a concern, it would be posted by now.  I then checked the Internet to determine if the price was good.  I found cheaper, but those purchases would mean a delay.  I didn't want a delay and the price of the materials were within reason.
I contacted Magic and he arrived promptly as originally scheduled, performed the work and now the family is happy.

I have used him twice in the past two years.  Each time he has come as scheduled and performed the work and managed a questionable warranty issue left over from the previous owners of my home.  I am well pleased.

This company was called by my Home Warranty Company and I did not have a choice of companies. The service call itself was $75.00 - higher than similar companies. The owner of the company was along on the house call and diagnosed the problem as a slow leak in the coil in the AC and a new coil would have to be ordered. The coil came in and the company spokesman said the disposal fee for the old coil would be $290.00 of which I would be responsible for half - $145 that the Warranty Co would not cover. I don't blame the warrant company because $290 is crazy. Other companies would dispose of the coil and freeon for $40 but theowner would not agree for anyone else to do the disposal.

After many calls to Old Republic(who were great) we demanded he never return. That night I received a call from Mr Farag who accused me of ruining his name. The man would not even let me get a word in. When I finally confronted him with estimates of freon removal for my size a/c ($40.00) from 3 diff. companies he hung up on me. Warranty company sent a reputable A/C contractor who ended up having to replace our entire A/C system in order to rectify all the damage Magdy Farag" company incurred. They did this with no charge to us at all! I have since notified the N.C. heating board who replied in writing that unfortunately they can not bring charges because the issue was service related which is outside their jurisdiction. They have placed Mr. Farag on their watch list, and warranty co. has fired him. I'm sure he is still slipping under the radar and ripping other homeowners off. I may have gotten burnt by this con artist but I made sure no one else from warranty would, plus I'm sure they informed and blacklisted him to other service comp's. At least I've gotten a little payback for my misfortune.
