Cape Fear Tree Svc

They arrived on schedule after a 1 day rain delay. All the trees were removed in 1/2 day including removal of all debris. They performed the work within a planted area and protected the adjacent shrubs and flowers from damage from falling limbs and tree trunk sections. They picked up the debris and blew the area clear of small debris. They did not grind the stumps as I did not need this work done. Great job! Great price!

I called Cape Fear Tree up after reading several endorsements of them on NextDoor from people in my neighborhood. The reviews were that Cape Fear's fees are very reasonable compared to other companies, and that they do good work. Re: my own experience: I encountered a surly person on the phone on a couple of occasions when I tried to get a hold of Danny (I'm assuming this is the same person that others on Yelp, etc have mentioned) and was pretty taken aback by how abrupt and just flat out rude he was, but Danny himself has been wonderful. As my neighbors had advised, fees were *very* reasonable. I had gotten quotes from 7-8 different companies, including other companies that had been recommended as "reasonable" to me, and he beat them all. In terms of service, he came out immediately to look the property over, remembered it from having pulled out trees over a decade ago, said he would come out several weeks later (I had contacted him before Christmas so the work was done in January - I wasn't in a hurry), called to confirm the day before and sent over his guys, as scheduled. This was during the uber cold snap with 20 degree temps - they still showed up even though I said they could push it back by a few days!!! The guys who showed up were quite helpful, courteous and hardworking. They were in and out pretty quickly after cutting down two trees (1 ~35 ft gumball about 12 feet from house, 1 ~50ft long leaf pine that had grown up comingled with an oak) and popping out several smaller palms. Stumps were ground down to just about level with the surrounding yard. Danny told me to call him if there were any issues and he would grind further. Lo and behold, he was gracious when I called him a full 2 months later to grind the stump another 6 inches because I was flattening my yard out and had moved earth from around the stump. At first he said he would come the following week, but then 30 minutes later he called to say he would be out later in the day. I was out on errands, and when I got back, stump was gone. Based on my experience, I am thoroughly satisfied with Danny's customer service and am keeping him at the top of my list to do any further work on my property. If you ever end up reading this, I send many thanks to you and your staff, Danny!

Danny showed up on time to give me an estimate and was considerably less expensive than the two prior estimates I had gotten for same work. This is the second time I have used his service and you can't beat the value for what you pay.
He and his crew showed up on time the day the job was scheduled. We walked through the job again to be sure of expectations. He and his crew performed the job to perfection and finished a day early and price was as agreed upon. Since he price and work were solid I decided to expand the work and include more trees.
 A number of these trees were right next to our house and I never had a concern.
They chipped all the debri and removed all the large logs after they had been cut.
Job exceeded expectation an completed in a timely professional manner.
Danny is a no no sense kind of guy and easy to work with as I mentioned this was my second time working with him and the results were the same each time.
In the future I will not waste my time seeking other estimates?I will simply call Danny knowing the value for the money cannot be beat in Wilmington!!!

Our first experience with Cape Fear tree Service was exceptional, they were responsive, provided quality service at a great price. However, I have recently tried to contact them to trim some trees and to cut a large tree down that is about to fall. I left 5 messages on their answering service, even called the cell number left on their answering service and had no call backs. I kept trying because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because things in life happen so on my 6th attempt to get in touch with them I got someone on the phone. They said they would have someone contact me on Friday to come by and do an estimate, well this was on a Wed and about 10 mins later someone shows up to do an estimate, luckily I was working from home this day or would've missed them and wouldn't been able to show them what I needed done. The man said they would have someone out the week after 4th of July. Well it is now July24th and we have not had anyone come out or call. My husband and I both called and to no avail no return call from Cape Fear Tree Service. So my last attempt to call was today on both of their phone numbers and I let them know if I did not hear back today I would no longer refer them because of their horrible customer service and that I would be writing a bad review. I am not one that will typically take the time to write a review, but my frustration lies that if you tell someone you are going to do something than either show up to do it or call and let them know you won't be able to but don't just not show because you are inconveniencing the other person.

Great service. Came out on time for the estimate. Estimate was good compared with others. He came out and took care of everything, very quickly, raked what remained.

Most expert and professional service-all employees included. Cleaned up all tree refuse and even offered to blow shredded wood waste into a handy pile for mulch and compost. The owner even did a favour for another resident and delivered our cut up pine logs to his residence at no extra charge.

Arrived promptly. Owner Danny and workers very nice. Good work. Neat. Hauled everything away. Didn't take very long.
Have used services several times. Plan to use them again.

Very well. The trees were removed, no damage. Danny was able to work us in and complete the job while we were out of the house. Totally reliable in getting into the property and doing the work without us present.
We had another contractor doing floors at the same time and the dumpster blocked Danny's crew from using machinery to get the logs to the curb.. no complaint, they worked thru the issue and completed the job on time and on budget
