We work on all major appliances and most brands in warranty and out of warranty. We do custom appliance installs and dryer vent cleanings. We offer free appliance pick up for your old appliances.In store we have a showroom of used appliances for sale w/ delivery.

Called for a quote and was satisfied.  After they performed the service they increased the price and demanded payment.

Horrible business practices. Classic bait and switch. Cannot be trusted to come to your house when your wife is there. Buyer beware!

We had been struggling for about 3 years to have our ice maker repaired through other services. I took the machine into Cape Fear and left it with John. It took him a couple of weeks of trial and testing, but he determined the problem and corrected it! Replacement of this equipment would have cost use $2,000+ and we were happy to spend a few hundred on a successful repair! More recently, our built-in microwave ceased to heat. We took that in as well and he had it repaired later that day! Another expensive replacement repaired for a reasonable fee! John is a very busy man because of his excellent skills and that he serves a large geographic area, so it my take weeks to have him come to your home. If you are able to take the piece to him, he appears to make those repairs a priority over relaxing at the end of a long day. The service cost below is combined for the two repairs noted.

Treated the call as urgent and arrived in very short order so I didn't lose food in my freezer and refrigerator which had essentially stopped working at that point.  Spent a long time defrosting and sopping up the water produced so that it didn't get on my hardwood floor.  The technician was capable and courteous.  I have used this repair service on numerous occasions and have always been very pleased with the service.  Although the cost was a bit high, I think it is in line with what other service charge and they are really worth every penny.

At first, I was not very impressed when the repair person, Brian, arrived alone.  I had made it very clear to the person setting up the appointment that the washer and dryer were stacked, and in order to get to the washer, two people were needed to move the appliances.
Brian called around asking associates if there was anyone to assist him.  No one was available.  Agreeing that I'd need to arrange another appointment when an extra person could accompany him, he left.
A couple of hours later, Brian came back, and he'd constructed a device out of two-by-fours, which he thought might work to slide the dryer off the washer, so that it could be accessed.  
I thought this was pretty inventive and showed initiative.  The new items were installed, in about an hour.  
The machine works fine now.
As indicated, though I had a bad experience initially, but I can't help but be impressed with Brian.  I hope he is appreciated by his bosses.

"We did not send a second person b/c the Lowes in the customers area said they would be able to send someone to help our tech out with moving since we worked in a big job w/ in the week for them and the customer. On the day we were down there Lowes decided they did not have anyone to send. Thanks!"

This was warranty work from a purchase from Lowes Hardware. An appointment was scheduled in a timely manner. On the scheduled day Cape Fear called to reschedule for another day. Repairman called late afternoon and rescheduled again for next week. When he did come out he had to order parts which would take a couple days. Almost two weeks later he came and fixed the dryer. One week later I needed service again and more parts had to be ordered. After another two weeks and more excuses it finally was repaired. I would not use Cape Fear again and informed Lowes of their service subcontractor's performance.

"Customer had a warranty contract with Lowes and we have to get approval with them before putting any parts on a customer appliance. Once the request is submitted and approved, we are then able to order parts. And the 2nd call was 2 months later. The first parts were put on in August and the 2nd was in October and it was because the console clip broke. Thanks."

I like them. They were very thorough and did a great job. The ice machine was over $500 but it was really messed up and it was cheaper than buying a new one. The microwave was $150. I would use them again.

We contacted Cape Fear Applicance and the following day received a call back for an appointment. John came to the house and diagnosed the problem on our LG Dryer which had stopped heating. He ordered the part and came back a few days later to replace it. The dryer worked great for three loads, and then stopped again. We called him back and he figured out the problem almost immediately, a clogged vent. He cleaned the vent for free. All the while he was friendly, professional, and courtous. While it took one more visit than it maybe should have, his attitude and price will keep me coming back.

When the controls on our brand new refrigerator did not work the manufacturer contacted Cape Fear Appliance Service to provide warranty work. Our technician, John, came exactly when scheduled. While he was at our house we also had him look at our wine cooler, which we reallized upon moving into our new house, did not work. He quickly determined the problems. He returned as soon as the parts came in and repaired both appliances. He was very friendly and professional. We would definitely recommend this company.
