It is difficult for me to make this negative review of Appliance Service Company, because at first the company really, really tried to fix the ice maker problem over a period of months. They made many trips to my home and honestly tried to fix the thing without gouging the price of the work. They stood behind everything they replaced, but could never isolate and fix the malfunction. Unfortunately, in the end, they just gave up and said they had run out of things they could try. If they had repaired the device I would have had nothing but great things to say, but since they weren't able to repair it and then just left me hanging, I can only say I can't recommend them. I hate to give this negative report, since nobody is perfect. I don't believe this is normal for Appliance Service Company, but it is my true experience.

They are wonderful and very good. They charged me $352 to fix the refrigerator which was almost half the price of another company that gave me a quote.

I was having trouble with our washing machine every cycle was giving the UL error code, meaning the load was unlevel however the clothes inside the wash were not unlevel, also getting a F1 error code which means to call a technician. Called on a Thursday morning and was told a technician could be out on Monday. Technician came out and ran diagnostics on the machine. I was given 2 "error" messages from the diagnostics, one part was $90 and the other part was $200. The technician felt certain that the $90 part would fix the problem and that I wouldnt have to worry about buying the $200 part. I expressed my concern about the cost and that I did not want to pay $90 if it wasnt going to fix the problem. Technician thought it would fix both error messages and wouldn't need the other part. I was also told my total bill would be around $200 Part was ordered, a week later was scheduled to be installed.
Technician was running behind on the day of installation and called and asked if they could come another day. Technician came another day and a part that I was told would take 30 min to install took him 1.5 hours to work on, which in turn cost me $60 more than I was originally told my total bill would cost! Technician left saying washing machine was working correctly. Since I had not washed clothes I put a load in as soon as he left. Half way through the cycle it started knocking again and giving me the unlevel message again! Problem not fixed!!! I called them the next day to tell them I was not happy, would not have spent $300 on fixing a machine instead would have just bought a new one. Lady said she could call technician and put me on hold. Technician said that he never told me the $90 part might fix our problem (great his word against mine!) Again I told her I was not happy and wouldn't have chosen to spend $300 to only find out it did not fix the problem. Was then told I could have them order the $200 part and that should fix the problem! NO WAY would anyone spend $200 plus labor on top of the $300 I already spent.
I think its a poor way to run a business. We also run a service company and the customer is always right, if a technician were to tell a customer this would fix the problem and it didnt we would find a way to make it right or we would refund their money they had paid. I will NOT use this company again and I will be sure to tell others to NOT use them again! Nothing like starting a weekend knowing you just threw $300 to the wind!!!!!!
