Replacing Air handler was potentially problematic because it is enclosed in Wire screening (to keep squirrels from getting into the insulation under the house) - they handled it without difficulty, including replacing the screening which they had to remove in order to access that particular area under the house.

Sales rep explained all options, answered all my questions, provided information on additional options that I had learned about from competitors (I had obtained 4 estimates), so that I got the exact system that I felt suited my needs best. Installation went well - few hiccups requiring some additional electrical work (no additional change to the contracted cost). Installers had to work around a wire "cage" which encased the existing air handler and sub-floor insulation - and the new air handler which they were installing - from squirrels who like to make nests in the crawl space, so their job was probably a bit more aggravating, from that perspective, than typical ... they did their job well. The office staff handled all the paper work required so that I would qualify for a Duke Energy rebate of $425. (The estimated cost shown does not include the rebate.)

We are a first name basis with Jason and if we see him in the area, we wave to him. They have basically rebuilt this unit. They have extended the warranty on the unit another 5 years because of the rebuilding. When they had to order a part, they brought out window units we could use until the part came in and was installed. They wanted to replace the unit as much as we did but were not authorized. We now have a service contract with them at a reasonable fee. They are very dependable.

Heins consulted with us week or so before, gave us two TRANE SEER choices, helped with getting us financing, showed up as promised, all installed and checked out in two days, followed up as promised, and quickly took care of loose ends.

Service man was on time. He communicated well and was very professional.  After he finished he reviewed the inspection points he had done to assure me that the system was running well and that there was no work to be done. I have had Airmax here on three occasions. Definately a pro team. I will always use them.

This was a totally positive experience from my initial phone contact to the actual service call -- in sharp contrast to the painful experience we had with our prior service provider. The Airmax technician (Joe, I think?) was great. Within minutes, he identified and fixed the problem, a clogged outside drip line (unlike the prior service provider who didn't bother trying to find the cause of the leak because he couldn't get past his arrogant attitude and was too busy telling us everything we were doing wrong).
Joe also gave us sound operating and maintenance information (again, unlike the prior service provider who gave us a lot of misinformation that a call to Fujitsu confirmed was wrong).
We are definitely going to use Airmax for all our service needs. The company we had been using is an authorized Fujitsu mini-split dealer but Airmax knows much more about the operation of the systems, is great to deal with, and is very responsive. It's really the best service provider for these systems.

He found that the zone controller for one of the units had been installed incorrectly by the original installation company which had been periodically causing one zone of the system had failed.  He corrected the problem and the unit is operating efficiently now.  He, additionally, checked both units for proper operation, coolant levels, etc.  He was  very efficient and thoroughly explained what he had done and what he had found during his inspections and adjustments.

Service was puntual, efficient, and courteous  Both technicians were in uniforms.  They introduced themselves, explained what they were going to do and, immediately began work.  Following completion of the work, they explained the paperwork they were providing, including manuals and warranties.  They also demonstrated the operation of the new programmable thermostat.

On time, on budget, very professional. They not only did what they said they would do, but they did it when tthey said they were going to do which is becoming harder and harder to find. From Heins the salesman to the install crew, professional all around.

Airmax got to my home in a timely fashion and charged what I thought was reasonable. Great job!

The work was done smoothly and quickly. Afterwards a complete the tech made a very complete explanation of the problem, causes and solution.
The problem was solved. The following day AirMax made a follow up call to see if the unit was still performing correctly.
We were especially impressed with the cleanliness of the tech with overshoes, etc.
