A Veteran's Lawn Care

Chris showed up and seemed professional. We got an estimate from him and proceeded. He was told we had to have the spring cleanup done by a certain day as we had a huge family gathering coming up. He agreed but then did call the day of and try to cancel due to 'just being so busy". He wanted to reschedule -after our event. Our yard looked terrible. When I reminded him I had to have it done by such date he relented. He didn't personally do the work that day, his worker did and there were several areas that were done differently than Chris and my husband and I had agreed upon but we decided it was just a lack of proper communication and let it go. He came several times after to do the regular yard mowing. Each time it was done nicely. We had made arrangements with Chris that our yard would be scheduled for a specific day and we would need notice if he were coming on  a different day due to having 3 dogs in the back yard running around. Everything seemed fine. No problem.
Sounds ok huh? We thought so, until he just didn't show up to do our yard on the specified day one week. So we waited a couple days thinking he was behind from the rain and still nothing. Waited a week...didn't want to bug him. Still a no show and no phone call. So we called. And called. And called. We left messages, both my husband and I asking what was going on? He never showed to cut our grass? We ended up giving him 2 weeks to respond to 4 voice messages and finally called to inform him that we were going to hire someone else. He never had the courtesy to return a call. Or stop by and let us know what was going on.
Even if he'd had a family emergency, or gotten behind, or just decided he didn't like us and didn't want to do our yard any longer. He could have called to inform us. It's been a month and a half and we still never heard anything.  It was one of the most unprofessional experiences ever! i am still amazed that someone would do that without so much as a phone call. I would never refer him to anyone at this point.

They did a great and thorough job. They gave quick estimate, professional staff, and they bring the right equipment to get it done quickly. I am going to have them back to do some work in couple of weeks.
