He is excellent. I can't say enough. He is very nice. It is his own company and I love that. Very responsive. Very good work and very knowledgeable.

Everything went smooth from arrival to completion. Tommy took the time to explain proper service intervals to make sure my heater continues to work well. I was so pleased that we discussed a plumbing project that my wife and I are considering.

I liked them very much. I called them they came out within two or three hours and get the job done. The plumbers that came out were very professional, efficient, and friendly. They answered the call on New Year's eve morning and he actually out same day. I would definitely use them again.

I purchased a water heater from Home Depot and asked for an installation estimate. They pointed to a posted sign near the water heaters and discussed with me that my specific type of installation (crawlspace, electric water heater) should run about $197, might vary slightly. Great, sign me up, can you do it tomorrow ? Sure. The contractor will call you in the morning to give you a final solid price. The contractor called in the morning and gave me my price $393. Hmmm, what happened to $197 ? That is twice what I was lead to believe at Home Depot.
At this point I had lost confidence in Home Depot I was not sure that $393 wouldn?t turn into $593. I started calling local contractors from Angie?s List. As it turns out $393 was about down the middle of the prices I was quoted. ($350 to $450). However, I live in a fairly small town, I decided to spend my money with a local plumber. (The Home Depot contractor called me from Atlanta, GA to set up an installation in Fuquay Varina, NC.)
After calling several well rated plumbers from Angie?s list, I had gotten the following types of responses:
1. Ring, no answer, no answering machine.
2. Left message, no return call. (still have not received returned call 24 hours later)
3. ?Our office is closed, please call back during business hours? (at 9:00 am on a Friday morning.)
4. ?Yea, it?ll be about $450.
I then called Tommy Allen Plumbing around 9:00 am on a Friday morning. Tommy answered the phone asked a few questions about the installation type and what I needed. He asked where I was located, when I told him the street name ?oh, yea, I know where that?s at, I just came from the neighborhood ½ mile up the road.? At this point, I know I have a local guy who lives in the area and is part of the community. Price $350, yea, I can come do it after lunch. Ok, see you then.
Tommy and his helper showed up promptly as expected, was personable and did a good job. He had to replace the inlet shut-off valve going to the water heater as it started leaking when he turned the water off. No extra charge for that. He was in and out in a couple of hours and hauled off the old water heater. Price ?. $350. What ? No extra charges for anything ? Your price came in at EXACTLY what you told me ? How refreshing !
I give Tommy Allen Plumbing a A- rating. The only thing I can possibly ding him for is; he left a big stain of rusted water at the end of my driveway where he sat the old water heater prior to loading it into his truck. Truly a small detail in the scope of getting this heater replaced. Hopefully this will be gone with the next good rain. I will definitely call Tommy for all of my plumbing needs in the future.

The guys came in, took a look at what they would need for this project, gave me an estimate and said they would be back in 20 minutes. They showed up in 18 and went right to work. Cost was right in line with the estimate given. My wife and I are very happy with the results.

The plumber showed up on a Sunday and found a way to provide a fix for our well's bladder tank so we could keep water in the house even though the supply houses with the parts needed for a permanent fix weren't open. They later returned to replace the tank, finishing the job. They were professional and quick, getting us out of having to find a hotel room for the weekend.

I have a rental property and my tenants emailed and said the septic tank was overflowing. I called Tommy Allen Plumbing around 10:30 am and he went by the property and checked my septic pump within the hour. He diagnosed the problem and had a replacement pump in his truck. He replaced the pump and verified that it was working. He called me back around 1 pm and the problem was fixed. I researched the price of ~$900 for replacing the pump and it seemed fair.
Excellent responsiveness and polite service.
I would use him again.

We used them several times and would probably use them again. We continue using them because they are local, their respond quickly and because we have known them for 15 years. They treated us well and the price we paid for the last job they did was about a hundred and change.

I WAS TOLD BY ANOTHER COMPANY THAT I WOULD NEED TO BUY A NEW TOILET, BUT TOMMY WAS ABLE TO FIX THE TOILET I ALREADY HAD. HE IS PLEASANT, PROMPT, NEAT, CLEAN AND TRUSTWORTHY. HE STANDS BEHIND HIS WORK AND DOES A WONDERFUL JOB.
