Our roof was replaced by Cole Brother's Roofing in March 2012 prior to us purchasing the house.  It is currently under a 7 year workmanship warranty.  When we first moved in, there was some water in our attic  Scott Butters came out to evaluate it and was kind and courteous.  He didn't see anything wrong and blamed the leak on our chimney.  I had a chimney repair contractor evaluate it and there was nothing wrong with the chimney.  Approximately, 1 month later, on Christmas Eve, it was raining and water was pouring into our attic in the same location it previously was wet.  I left messages multiple times that day for Scott with no response.  I called other roofers (as it was literally pouring in the house) and chimney contractors to try to find anyone who could come take a look at it.  A different roofer came out and evaluated it and eventually made the repairs (the caulking around the chimney was at fault).  Starting on Christmas Eve, I left several voicemails for Scott Butters.  Approximately 3 weeks later, he called me back and asked if he could come evaluate it now.  It had already been repaired.  He said to send him the bill from the other roofer contractor.  Now, I have been trying to follow up to find out if the bill has been paid yet - or when he expects he will send the check to the repair roofer.  It is now March 10, and I have not heard from him since early January.  
I would absolutely not use this company.  They do not respond to phone calls and their voicemail is usually full.  The owner said that he went away for the Holidays and so he didn't answer any phone calls or do any work during that time. Even if that was true, he hasn't called me back during February or March after leaving several voicemails again.

The entire job went very well starting with the roof installation 4 years ago as well as the follow up work.

It just goes to show that honesty will pay off. We had Cole Bros. quote us on a roof about 4-5 years ago and the owner said that at the present time we were good/stable and not in immediate need of replacement, although the roof was 20+ years old. This past year we had it replaced due to some wind damage and had the job quoted by them as well as two other companies. They were the lowest bid and we chose them because we felt that we could trust them and that they are a smaller company which is why their costs were lower. This is a family run company. They finished the job on time and were very helpful at answering questions and cleaned up the job site very well. We know others who have used them and have been very happy as well.

Working with Cole Brothers was a great experience. We had them replace a roof that was most likely original to our house (built in 1979) and had considerable damage to the plywood roof decking. Scott was very helpful in answering all our questions and dropped off samples of shingle colors and provided a spreadsheet of houses in our area that they had done with the color shingle used. It was great being able to drive around and see what the different colors looked like on actual houses. 
Our install date got pushed back quite a bit, but that was due to a spell of bad weather that no one could help. When it came time to do the roof the workers were on time and very professional. They worked quickly and were careful not to damage any plants or shrubs. They also did a great job cleaning up after themselves, we didn't find a single nail anywhere. Scott even helped us out a little by using some scrap plywood decking he had instead of charging us for an entire new sheet. That saved us quite a bit since I think they ended up replacing something like 15 pieces. 
They installed 2 2'x2' skylights in our living room area for some extra light. The skylights were $600 each which included the materials and labor. Scott and his crew don't finish of the interior of skylights, because drywall is a pain. We had a guy come and finish them off for $150 afterwards though which was no big deal. 
Overall a great experience and I recommend them to anyone.

They do an outstanding work.  They had some delays over the past summer because our weather was terrible.  They had some personnel who had some accident.  It was just a bad summer for them.  They still kept us in the calendar and got the work done.  They did it really well.  We had a few companies come out to fix the place near the chimney that was damaged due to the rain coming down from the side of the chimney.  Cole Brothers fixed it like a charm by diverting the rain the other side.  We had an enormous amount of rain this past summer.  We didn't have any leaks or any water damage.  We had three people come to supposedly have a look at it and fix it and none of them, did a right thing.  Cole Brothers came along and they did it for $200.  It was a great price for siding work.  It included the labor as well.

It was a positive experience. They do good quality work and they were very easy to work with. I would use them again.

The guys from Cole Brothers Roofing were wonderful. There are terrific and I would use them again. They did what they said they were going to do. They were early getting to site. They were totally professional. They have reasonable price.

I contacted Cole Brothers for an estimate for a new roof and they were prompt in coming out to my house to do an estimate.  It took about two days to remove and re-roof our house.  The team was very professional, hard working and courteous.  They cleaned up after themselves, leaving the yard very tidy.  It just rained and there are no leaks!  I highly recommend them and will use them again to re-roof a house I own in Harnett County.

I am a young first time home owner, so I spent a lot of time on Angie's List looking for a roofer. We had six companies come out to provide quotes and they were all very professional but much higher than we were expecting. A family friend mentioned that Cole Brother's had done some work for them and we should have them come out. Sure enough, the seventh quote was the charm. The price was right where we expected and Chad and Scott were both true pros. They took the time to explain how and why they do things the way they do, and I never felt as if they were trying to take advantage of a new home owner.
Fast forward to the actual roofing: Chad called to let me know they had an opening and could move our job up the list, a pleasant surprise. Chad and his crew arrived early the next morning and all were very nice and considerate. Work went quick, and within a day and a half we had a beautiful new architectural roof. The crew left our yard cleaner than we expected and they were careful to warn us about potential nails while they were working so our dogs would not be injured. This may seem small, but they left all fence gates locked at the end of each day. Not all people you hire will do this, and this let us know they were paying attention to detail.
Bottom line: Cole Brother's roofing is a small, family owned company with a great group of men working for them. You will speak with the owner from beginning to end and he will be present on your roof during the job. This is service that's hard to beat.

This company was 1 of 3 that I requested an estimate from. Chad came out to see me and get the information needed to supply a quote. He was 1 of the 2 companies that actually got on the roof to take measurements. He was the only one that did not come with product pamphlets and pictures of his work. He is not afraid to speak his mind and while his sales pitch was not as polished as the other 2, he came across as a genuinely honest man. He provided a lot of information, some of which was not conveyed by the other 2 companies. After reading lots of reviews on Angies's list about all 3 companies and after considering my experience meeting them, I decided to go with Cole Brothers. Chad's partner Scott mailed the quotes to me and they were received a few days later. I also had some minor siding and trim work done. On request, Chad dropped off shingle color samples for me to review. He was also made a point to express the colors he felt would be the best choices to consider and that was appreciated. When the day arrived for the work to be done, the crew arrived and conducted themselves in a very professional manner. While care was taken to prevent any collateral damage to landscaping etc, my property is quite small and it was a little difficult to do this. While there was some injury to landscaping, it was nothing major and the recovery was quick. The crew is meticulous and take pride in their work. They answered all my questions and were responsive to handle additional siding and trim work that I requested be done. In fact, there was quite a bit more siding and trim work but there was no additional charge. The roof looks great as does the repaired siding and trim! I am quite satisfied with the work performed and highly recommend Cole Brothers Roofing.

After receiving several quotes for a new shingle roof on our two story house we decided to go with Cole Brothers Roofing because of their excellent reputation and their willingness to provide us with what we wanted.  We appreciated their honesty, hard work and excellent quality.  They were very patient while waiting for us to choose our style, color and get approval for our homeowner's association.  When we were ready to commence work, they worked us into their very busy schedule and showed up on time and completed the project in a very timely manner.  Scott and Chad were excellent to deal with throughout the entire process.

Cole Brothers had replaced a number of other cedar shake roofs in our neighborhood over the last few years.   Scott came out and measured the roof and provided a simple estimate.  We obtained quotes from several roofers and Cole Brothers was on the cheaper end.  Scott and Chad (owners) were very easy to work with.   They are very busy so we had to schedule our job about a month out. 
The crew of 6 arrived on site on a Tuesday around lunch time and got right to work, until close to 7:00pm.   The whole crew was back on site at 7:45am Wednesday and worked until at least 6:00pm.  Work was finished around lunch time on Thursday afternoon.  To any issues or questions that I had during the job, the response was always "we'll make it right"...and they followed through.   They cleaned up after themselves each day and when finished thoroughly cleaned each gutter and swept the yard with a nail magnet multiple times to find loose nails.  During the project, all debris was loaded into a dump truck which was then moved out of the driveway at the end of each day, allowing us access to our garage.  No giant dumpsters stuck in our driveway for a week.
For comparison, two neighbors replaced their cedar shakes around the same time using a roofer that was NOT Cole Brothers.  One, which had a roof no larger than ours and maybe smaller, began work on a Monday and finished up either Friday or Saturday.   The other, who has a smaller roof than ours, took 3-4 days and the homeowners are still stepping on nails in their yard.

Start to finish:
1. Two to three weeks of water damage to our ceiling results in my husband identifying approximate location of roof leak.
2. Search on Angie's List for a roofer  leads to several solid roofing leads.
3. Leak stops within 24 hours of making phone calls for estimates, without cost, and with the great fortune of finding an honorable
     human.

Overall it was a very good experience and I would highly recommend them.

They gave us the lowest bid and they did a great job.  The only issue I had was they were a little hard to get a hold of but they do excellent work.

They were great and did a good job.  They didn't charge me anything, I was impressed they didn't even charge me for coming out.

The team arrived on time on Monday morning.  Had to quit for the day early because of impending storms, but returned the next morning and completed the job by noon.  Extremely professional and friendly.  Listened to our concerns and questions and gave honest answers.

They are excellent and professional. I waited 6 months for them to do the job; they are that busy. They are a family owned company, which is very important because they don't use any sub contractors; they do it all themselves. They did the roof in two days; they did exactly what they said they were going to do. They cleaned up the first day so that there was no mess in between and the cleaned up the second day. Their price was average; I had three bids and they were all practically the same. I have recommended them many times to people. I will use them again in the future.
