I'm so thankful for going with Appalachian Air Care over a much larger company. My mind was made up when they came out for a site inspection and quote for mold removal/remediation and removal of the accursed popcorn ceiling Mr. Vierheller and his son were straight forward, personable and knew what they were talking about. They answered all of my questions and offered insights into related issues. They were thorough, and really took their time inspecting not only the bathroom where the work was to done, but the adjoining laundry, sunroom, and walk-in closet, explaining how mold starts, thrives, how to prevent it and what to look out for. Everything was explained clearly and all communication was very prompt. They did an outstanding job, far exceeding the time estimate, and remaning true to the quote. The mudding that needed to be removed was far more than anticipated or ordinarily applied. Truly, a Herculean task! Mr. Vierheller's son led the small crew and his attitude was the kind I seek in friends - it's got to get done and we're going to do it. The guy's got chops! This company is awesome. I can't recommend them highly enough.

First we had our ductwork cleaned and sanitized. Second we had our basement walls and overhead beams cleaned of mold and needed concrete block repair/sealing. FABULOUS job. The crew is amazing. They are honest and trustworthy. They take care to keep us informed every step of the way. They installed a dehumidifier and explained everything about the operation. The team was wonderful. My older cat had decided to use one of my floor vents as a litter box. This required the duct tube to have to be replaced. The rest of the house was able to be cleaned normally. I felt the price was very reasonable and highly recommend them for anyone that needs air duct cleaning.

Kurt at Appalachian Air was very responsive to my initial inquiry returning my call within just an hour or two. He promptly kept the initial appointment to meet at the property and throughout the process keep me updated each step of the way. We met for a walk through of the property after his crew finished. Here again, he arrived promptly and answered all my questions. He and his crew took a very unhealthy home interior condition and returned the house to healthy livability. I so appreciated Kurt's professionalism and courtesy. It is difficult these days to find a contractor who actually does what he says he will do. Kurt did all that was in the contract and more too!

Went great. The two reps showed up fairly close to on time (they politely called to let me know they were running a bit behind). They were courteous, professional and timely in the work, and really friendly. They put everything back that they moved. Would definetely recommend to friends and family.

The final bill was more than the amount advertised. This was because of the number of vents and duct work I had at my home according to the technician. I would recommend this company be more descriptive of what the charges will be and what work is covered. Otherwise the service was done well and the technician was professional.

"I believe this was a different company that cleaned your vents. We do not service Huntersville and I can not find your name or work order in our computer system. There are 2 other companies on Angie's List with similar names to ours in your area out of Concord & Charlotte. We always explain our specials when they are ordered. My review of 8-7-17 was posted in error and my fault. I felt I was overcharged as I did not realize, the unlimited duct deal was only good if purchased on Angie's List. I called the company to make sure they come to my area and when I mentioned Angie's List, they stated the had a 179.99 deal which I guess I assumed was also unlimited ducts. I became upset when the tech told me they never have an unlimited duct price. They did an awesome job and was extremely happy with their service and communication. I've tried to remove the review but does not seem to work.

Despite one slip of the air reversal blower resulting in dust being released everywhere into the house, overall the service was performed very well by the technicians-just glad I waited to clean house until after they left due to the release of dust. ***At our referral, our next door neighbor had her ducts cleaned on the same day.

The guys that came out were great and very personable and professional. The only problem was my husband had to call them back to clean the main intake vent. Not sure why it wasn't done initially other than it is not easily accessible. They came back same day and took care of it. We are happy with the service and would call them back again.
