The contract was signed and payment made July 5 or 7 with work to begin within 14 days. The check was cashed 2 days later. I made phone call after phone call and texted Brooks on a near daily basis for weeks; rarely a response from him and when he did respond, it was one excuse after another or a promise to start on a specific date but the date would come and go and again, no show and no response to phone calls or texts. October came and I finally gave him one last chance before involving the law and he sent a subcontractor. I wish I had written his name down because the subcontractor did a FANTASTIC job and it took only one day! FOUR months of Brooks holding my money and giving me lie after lie and the job took 8 hours! Shame on him!

"I was really backed up and had phone issues at the time. I put blame on no one but myself for it taking a long time but I did everything I promised to do on the job. I also didn't require that full payment, it was offered. I apologize for the hold ups but the work was completed and done just as promised. I don't understand why months later you now decide to post a bad review on me? I guess it's just trying to drag someone down who made a mistake. All companies use subcontractors sometimes. I didn't want to hold you up any longer and now I'm bad for doing that."

Things started off rather rocky due to lack of communication from the contractor, but after expressing our concerns our porch was built. The quality of the work is wonderful. We love our porch. Brooks accepted the blame for the lack of communication. He is a really good guy. As he matures in his business, I am sure that he will learn a few lessons on customer service along the way. We wish him the best as he grows his business.
