About us

Marlin Wastewater Services was established in 1968 by Marlin and Dorothy Kerr who relocated to the Sandhills in the early 80's to stay open year round and avoid the harsh winters of Northern Michigan. Marlin's son Jeff and his wife Christine decided to keep the business in the family and took over operations in the mid 90's to give Marlin and Dorothy some much deserved time to travel and enjoy their retirement. Jeff and Christine continue to run the show today and have been blessed to build their business thanks to fantastic clients and a supportive community. We can not thank you enough for your support and look forward to servicing your homes & businesses and seeing your faces for years to come. There was little to no communication about when they were coming and when the results would be done. The people who answered the phones were rude and did not answer the questions that were asked to them.

They were fantastic. I was extremely pleased with all aspects of the service. I contacted them on Monday and they were at my home the very next day. Every single person at that company - either on the telephone or in person - was kind, cordial and professional. The employees that came to my home took the time to explain the whole process and were very patient with any questions. I highly recommend this company.

The crew arrived on time, was polite, professional and efficient. After digging up the tank and burying it they took the time to clean up very well so you can’t even tell they were here. Very pleased with the service.

They showed up the very next day. The guy doing the job that showed up was very professional and got the job done quickly . Really great customer service . I know this doesn’t affect the service but the website is really user friendly to pay online . The company gives a great military discount . I saved 25 bucks . I will be using these guys again .

I had four days to get this inspection done and everyone I called was booked to the following week! Jeff answered at 9am and said he would call me during the day to fit me in! He was outstanding and called me at 3pm and I met him there! Filled with knowledge and his family owned and family run business is so passionate about septic tanks that he told me anything I wanted and needed to know! Came into a problem getting to two of the covers as they were under a paved sidewalk so they had to pump the tanks to check for a leak! Thank goodness they did because they found a leak! I will be using them for ever now and Jeff said I can call anytime with questions.

They all the staff that comes out are nice and friendly. They will call you if they had an appointment to cancel if they are in your area. I have been using them since I moved here in 2003 and I will continue to use them in the future.
