A-1 Seamless Guttering

First let me say I'm always happy to discover that the people I'm dealing with are good and honest people, it means they will stand behind their work, make sure you are satisfied and will give you a fair price. When I first met Ruth I knew these were good people, this was confirmed when Randy and crew showed up to do the work. The crew was respectful and courteous. My house is 98 years old and I knew it wasn't going to be the easiest of jobs, Randy explained the steps they take to make sure the gutters will drain properly and the tools they use for assembly. Randy stays ahead in the industry and will invest in the better technology to make sure the job is done right. He explained the short cuts some take and what he has done to make a better product and outcome. I could not be more pleased with their work. Highly recommended.

Did not take them long. Manufactured the seamless gutter on the premises. Looks good on the house. No add on charges. Bill was exactly as the proposal.

Mr. Penland came on time with 3 other men, we decided to try the least expensive approach first and they took down the long gutter and made repairs, then all three men stood on ladders and reattached the long gutter back onto the house. They found it was not attached properly the first time and that it had come loose because of that. They were quick, efficient and polite. I also liked Mrs. Penland who came to my home in the beginning to look at the problem and help make the beginning decisions. She was a lovely woman driving this huge pick up with great ease and had the knowledge and confidence of any hard working man. I was very impressed. Hire them, you will like them.

I love these guys. They showed up when they said they would, they did a great job, and the price was exactly what we discussed. They were recommended by a carpenter friend, who said that these guys understood all of the details of good gutter installation (how to avoid roof issues with installation, slope of the gutters on installation, correct gauge for what I requested, etc). I highly recommend them.

They arrived on the appointed date and completed the work that day. They look very nice and work 100% better than the old ones. I was not able to give the company a high rating as I was finding the old gutter nails and and quot;spacersand quot; in the front yard. I understand that it is difficult to keep holding trash when you are on a steep metal roof but once done, I think that they should have cleaned up the debris they threw down. My dogs were finding them everywhere. Not good. The second reason I gave them a fair grade was I recommended them to a coworker of mine who called them and had some work done. Unfortunately it was not a good experience for her. We were going to have this company return to place snow guards on the lower gutters but we are not sure we will.

It took a few extra days to get them on the property to do the job; which was frustrating because we were trying to get the house on the market. However it all worked well in the end even with weather delays.

I called to confirm the day before they were to come. Was told they'd come the following Monday. Got a call saying they were still backed up, but "we'll get to you." That was a week ago.

They did everything except for one elbow that is of a different color. I ordered antique grey color and the person that came out to do the estimate forgot one elbow. The crew did wonderful work. They left the downspout elbow and told that the guy and his wife would come back out and replace it, but I've never seen them. 99.9% was excellent. It's just that the one little elbow that drains off the bottom of the downspout is of different color. It's not a big deal. As far as the craftsmanship of the work, I would recommend them. They came in and made 2 long seamless ones and 5 downspouts in total. They are bigger downspouts. I used to have 2 inch by 3 inch and I have now put it up by 4 inch so that it doesn't got clogged there. They didn't leave any type of a mess. They cleaned up. They showed up on time and they did the work. I could probably call them and tell who I was and tell them to bring the right color. They'll probably come and put the right color elbow.

The owner and his crew were delayed by a few days because of another job, but they got our job done in one day. Very little muss, very little fuss. We had two sections replaced with 6" gutters. We haven't had a huge rain since they were put on but we're confident that the overflow problem is fixed. In addition to this, they cleaned off the roof and replaced the gutter guards we had with a newer product, one which they felt would work better than what we had (no additional charge). The next big storm will tell us a lot, I think.

The gutters on our 4 year old house were constantly overflowing during the heavy spring and summer rains. This was happening even when the gutters were clean. The overflowing water was creating erosion problems. I called A-1 Seamless for an estimate. Mrs. Penland came and provided us with an estimate. The work was scheduled for the next week and was done in a timely and professional manner. Mr. Penland recommended that a downspout be moved to improve the drainage. He did this work at no additional expense to us. The workmen cleaned up after themselves and hauled away the old gutters. Since then we have had no problem with overflowing gutters. I would highly recommend this company. We plan to have the rest of the gutters replaced in the near future.

They were very nice and thorough during their visit in checking out my gutters and had some great suggestions. The only reason I didn't go with them was I got a better priced estimate.

Excellent contract. The Penland family has substance and style. They do what they say and do it well. Highly recommended.

Although they were delayed due to extra time required on another job, they made an effort to get the job done the day that they had promised. They came in the afternoon and got the job done promptly and professionally.

This company installed leaf guards for us in 2006. Everything worked fine until we had a huge storm this week (5/2009). Today we noticed that water was dripping between the roof and the gutter. I called this company and they could not have been nicer. Randy, his son and nephew were at our house shortly after I called, spent at least an hour fixing the gutter and didn't charge us a thing. They certainly stand by their work. Really nice fellows, too. I recommend them highly!
