You can't easily find a shop where you buy the parts and have them install them for you....so I looked around and settled on Earl after standing behind him in line at the local Walmart and got to talking with him.  Lo and behold, he ran a shop, had done conversions before, and I just knew I could trust him.















Let me cut to the chase:  Earl is VERY honest, above board, very fairly priced, efficient, and true to his word.   Consider all those understatements....for me, honesty is probably the biggest thing to find, and I trust him implicitly.  I have since had him do other work for me, and I can only reemphasize the above.  I would trust Earl to do work in the future for me, and glad I ran into him at the Walmart that day.  For me, there are no coincidences....Earl is a great new addition to my stable of trusted professionals.

First off - I was quoted anywhere from $300 on up to try and find a water leak that was soaking the passenger side of the interior of the car. Mechanics in general wanted to stay away from trying to find such a issue on an older car. When I mentioned it to Earl as we had my girlfriends Honda in for repair (more on that later), he jumped right in and had his assistant spray water from a hose on the car (I had already removed most of the rug as well as the passenger seat) and they began looking to see where the leak was coming from. Turns out that it was filling up the fan blower and leaking from there. A few days later Earl had it solved, tested and ready to go. It has been through driving rain storms and not a single sign of water on the inside. Well done Earl!















My girlfriend had a transmission that was failing and kind of got roped into having it fixed by a local who was shady (at best - I am being nice). So afterwards there were issues with that and a botched oil change (go figure). She took it into Earl, he figured out that the oil change never took place ( although it was paid for) and that there was a valve issue. He fixed it up quickly and had the car back to her. Both cars have been driven daily since then and both are working fine.















Earl is friendly and when you talk to him in person, you can tell that he is really interested in figuring out the issue and correcting it. A real trouble-shooter. If you have to drive a little bit to get to his place, it will be worth it to you in the long run. We drove from Cullowhee (approx 20 miles) to have Earl fix it and was worth the trip!
