Ray showed up early and performed all items on our list plus more. He ran into some unforeseen issues when reworking the network, but stayed and completed them. He did not charge us for the extra time it took to figure out the problem. When we had problems a few days later he returned our call immediately and helped work through the issues over the phone. Very professional, punctual, knowledgeable and reasonably priced. We will definitely use them again. Thanks Ray for all your help, hope we don't need you again in the near future but glad to know you are just a phone call away.

I've used this company before and have been pleased. This time, I made a work order on-line and was called within a few days. (Usually, they call right away, but didn't for some reason this time. I was not in a big hurry though, or I would have called back.) I made an appointment for evening, and Ray accomodated me. He came by and spend a couple of hours getting our computers running. A few days later, I called back because my printer wasn't not communicating with myn desktop, and I wondered if it was related. Ray spent about 30 minutes on the phone with me talking me though a reinstallation of the software, which fixed the problem. He did not charge me for the additional time, and never questioned whether it was related to the earlier work or was a new problem. I appreciated that, given that I am a repeat customer. I remain pleased with Southtech.

This was one of the best customer service experiences I have had in my 11 years in Charlotte! I emailed Laura who called and emailed me back and set up an appt. that was convenient for me. No window but an actual time! Wow unheard of these days. Ray Abrams came out and immediately got to work. It is obvious that he knows computers very well. He had my issue diagnosed in a few minutes and proceeded to repair my computer, give me recommendations for upgrades, and answer all of my many questions with extreme professionalism. He is a very personable guy and I was so comfortable after speaking with him I actually left in my house alone while I ran a quick errand. He spent just over 2 hrs. at my house and after using the Angies discount my bill was exactly as anticipated. My computer is working without any problems. I wish I had used SouthTech a long time ago but will always call them in the future.

Customer service, Laura, got back to me promptly and arranged appointment for next day at time convenient to me. Ray showed up on time, which was in the early evening. He was very dilegent investigating the problem, and finding a solution. Would very much recommend this company

Ray is 100% excellent. He is fast, thorough and does a wonderful job of explaining what he is doing (if you want to know) and offering suggestions. This is our second time using this company; I wouldn't use anyone else in the future but them!

WOW! I had - unfortunately - had a virus attack my PC on Wednesday evening. I called Laura at SouthTech on Thursday a.m. and she scheduled Ray to come out first thing today (Friday). He was here 2 1/2 hours and not only took care of the virus but also handled about 5 other things I threw out as needing done if he had time. I was incredibly impressed with his knowledge and expertise as well as his thoughtfulness in explaining what he was doing and answering questions in an 'easy to understand & relate to' way. He was so nice and not the least bit condescending. I have already set up a second appointment for him to come out and reset up all our PC equipment after we move in 2 weeks. This company has my highest recommendation!

Ray, the owner, spent several hours trying to make the programs work. Because of a problem with my computer he could not make the programs burn successfully. Because he was unsuccessful he did not charge a fee. South Tech seemed very knowledgible and fair. I recommend them without reservation.

After several days of frustration with talking to a recording at the cable company, I decided to phone South Tech to see if they could help. Scott arrived at my home within 20 minutes; not bad! He was not as knowledgeable of Macs as he was at PC's (his confession; not my evaluation), but he eventually determined that our brand new router wasn't working. We purchased one he had in his car and are back on-line. He didn't charge us for the entire time he was at our home because of his unfamiliarity with the Apple equipment. We are very pleased with the service.

Ray was superb. He came exactly when he said he would and returned the computer in excellent condition exactly when he said he would. My husband was out of the country when Ray brought the computer back to the office and Ray came back at 7am on the day my husband returned so that he could complete the installation (needed my husband to enter his passwords). My husband was back up to speed on the computer by the time the regular work day started and he was delighted. I had let Ray into the office when he returned the computer and casually asked him about a problem our own was having at home and he helped me immensely in diagnosing my own computer problem at home. We will never use anyone else but Ray for future computer repair. He can't be beat!

When I called, Laura was very nice and patient. She listened to my problem and then gave me all the details regarding their service. They were able to schedule me for that same day. Ray called to ask if he could show up early! In less than two hours he had fixed everything, recommended and installed a new anti-virus program and even looked at my dvd burner. I am thrilled with the service!

The drive crashed, and they helped to save our information. They got the computer up and running again. He was very nice and helped us out well. He messed up a little bit on something and knocked some of the cost off the final price.

I found Southtech on Angie's List and emailed the company that night. I received a phone call around 9:00 the next morning and was delighted to hear that I wouldn't have to disconnect my computer and drive to an office, but that a technician would arrive at my home at 11:00! Matt Vander Els was the field engineer who arrived on time and diagnosed my computer. He was friendly and patient with my considerable lack of knowledge of computer-eze. Matt informed me that the hard drive would have to be replaced and that he didn't know if he could retrieve any information from it (he couldn't), but that he would try. He suggested either installing a new hard drive or for me to buy a new computer. I chose to have him install a new hard drive for a third of the cost of a new reader/writer computer. I figured he would have the computer for at least a day or two but my computer was up and running by 4:30 that afternoon. Unbelievable! I was very pleased with the service I received.

Great experience. The associate was punctual and courteous, and clearly explained to me what he found and my options for repairing the problem. After downloading the information onto the new computer, he asked me to check to see if everything was there, went over everything, asked me if I had any questions or if there was anything further he could do.

Ray was unable to retrieve any data via his forensic software and other method (both of these would have performed the task in bulk). Thus, he used another method, which involved transferring files individually (i.e. time consuming). He was able to provide the business portion of my hard drive (what was retrievable) with in a few days & the personal portion of it with in a few weeks. Overall, I thought they were good to work with & the total retrieval was approximately 80%. The price was more than was originally quoted, however, the work WELL exceeded the initial quote & the additional price was warranted.

This was one of the best experiences I have EVER had with computer service technicians. Their ad says if they don't fix it, you don't pay, and they mean it. They did several things that were unsuccessful, I think not their fault, and they refused to charge. I wound up paying extra voluntarily to compensate them for their time. They were cheerful, prompt, and agreeable. They also refused a couple of jobs which they said were out of their expertise; another good sign. I don't plan to use anyone else.
