David Hord, owner arrived at my home for the estimate and appeared to be a down-to-earth, professional gentleman who wanted to do a good job. He stated, "when we are finished you will be pleased with the results". I had a small, hairline crack in the ceiling near the fireplace. He said he could repair the area and it might be necessary to cut it out. In retrospect, I wish he had cut out the area. He put approximately 10 or so screws in the drywall, then muddied the area. When the mud dried it sunk in and left three small indentations, much more visible than before the repair. Ceiling is popcorn and I hate the stuff but it is a horrible mess to remove. After the mudding the area should have been sprayed with popcorn texture. This was not the case. The ceilings are very high, approx. 18 feet and I knew the job would be demanding. I chose the paint color a shade or so darker than the existing paint so it would be easier to see and thought I would get better results. We counted 134 places which needed touch-up, some areas had paint on trim instead of walls, one area apparently had something wiped onto a wall and when the paint dried an area about 1 1/2 ft. by 1 1/2ft appeared to be lighter. We were not able to repaint this area since it would not accept paint. This area was not there before Quality began painting and I have resided here for 14 years. I asked Mr. Hord to come back to look at the ceiling crack and the area which would not take paint and he refused, telling me where I could purchase the paint he used. I find it difficult that someone who promised so much did so little and refused to come back for remedy. I actually didn't want Quality Painting workers back into my house since they did such a bad job, however; I think David Hord should have returned to look at the painting area to which I referred and repaired the ceiling as promised. In final, I had to repaint most of the rooms myself, that is the lower parts which I could reach. Do not hire this company if you expect quality workmanship.
