The work began by Liquid Stone and Concrete digging the footer for the new walls and steps that were attaching to the existing walls. Once the walls and steps were completed, the design of the wall and the steps were constructed incorrectly. Upon meeting with Dan Helfrich and discussing these errors with him he agreed that the steps were not correct and he had forgot about the wall needing to curve around at the end for grade. The drain lines were then installed incorrectly. Dan decided to use corrugated piping instead of PVC piping and the pipe crushed under the load of the concrete. Several of the drain lines had an uphill grade and had to be redone. One of my eave drain lines that was rerouted around the back of my retaining wall contained the type of piping with holes which would all all the water from my roof to be disbursed behind my retaining wall instead of removing the water to a better location. Upon the completion of the concrete slab, it was only 1036.5 sq feet instead of 1113 sq feet. It was missing the textured stamp pattern in several areas, it was poorly finished (still see the trowel ridges from the poor troweling), and three different colors of concrete. Dan never covered my doors with plastic or took his time when placing the concrete near the house, so I had several areas that were damaged from the splattered concrete. The pitch of the concrete was also off in several areas throughout the slab. In areas near my house the concrete is level and in another area the concrete drops 6 inches over a 10 foot section.
Description of Work: Liquid Stone Concrete was hired to install a 1113 sq foot concrete slab, to be 4" thick, will have color and a textured stamp pattern. Extend my existing brick retaining walls and add 4 steps to one of the walls and curve the wall to allow for finish grading, and lastly reroute my existing drains in PVC piping.
