Awesome. I'm very particular about my home and Jim treated my home with the utmost respect. Would definitely hire again. Very happy with the results.

Jim painted almost the entire house right after we'd had new flooring put in. His work was neat and he was very careful on the new hardwood. He took great pains to make sure the walls, ceilings and trim were perfect before painting. We have a few more rooms to do and will be calling him soon.

The full story was given in the work description. The only other comment we would make is that the overall experience deserves a rating of B+ but Angie's List doesn't provide that option, thus the B rating.
Description of Work: Our Master Bath (11' x 14" with vaulted ceiling) had several areas where drywall tape was loose due to moisture from showers. All of the areas were at seams partially or fully under a popcorn ceiling. Where partially under the popcorn ceiling, the other part was under wallpaper. After receiving 3 bids to convert the ceiling to a smooth ceiling plus remove wallpaper from all walls followed by re-taping seams as necesseary and painting the entire room, we selected Jim's Carpentry and Painting. Over a 4-day period, Jim removed the popcorn and wall paper followed by re-taping, spackling, and painting with primer and two color coats. He was always punctual, polite, and kept us fully updated as the job progressed. The job turned out good with only a few imperfections in the spackle and paint. We attribute most of the imperfections to marginal light in the room because all electric lights were removed from the wall prior to the job beginning. Ambient light from a skylight and small window was probably not sufficient to make the imperfections visible while the job was being done; they became obvious when the lights were reinstalled. We would use this company again but we would suggest that Jim consider portable lights on tripods for use in rooms where ambient light is marginal. And as a sidenote, anyone considering a job similar to ours should be aware that a lot of cleanup is required after the job is finished. Jim did a decent job of macro cleanup but there was a great deal of detail work to be done before we considered the room back to normal. This was not Jim's fault. Our contract did not include having Jim do the detailing.

He started the job on time as promised and ended one day earlier, to our delight. He was professional throughout the process, even offering to come back after the flooring was installed to touchup. If you want a job done right, on time and on budget, don't hesitate to call Jim.
Description of Work: Jim painted an entire townhouse, over 1300 sq ft., including ceilings, all trim and doors. Jim also repaired a popcorn ceiling in two bathrooms. The rooms had many loud colors, requiring at least two coats for each room.
