My name is Todd, and I’m the owner of Charlotte Home Improvement. As a homeowner myself, and a builder with over 20 years of general contracting experience, I know how important it is that your house reflect your own personality. Charlotte Home Improvement had already built a beautiful screened porch for us so Todd Gummel was our first call for the wine cellar. As before, he provided a detailed proposal with drawings, costs and a step by step timeline for the job from beginning to end. T. G. also obtained all appropriate permits and approved inspections so I feel confident that should I sell our home in the future my additions and changes to the house are all within town and county codes. The original space required demolition, and structural changes. A proper vapor barrier was also installed. Construction remained on schedule and the only cost changes were due to changes in selections we had made such as a more expensive floor tile and granite counter and a less expensive door. Each change in cost was documented by T.G. and I was provided with written change orders. T. G. was very responsive to calls and questions. He was on our job almost daily and I knew what and who to expect throughout the process.
