Where to even begin? Blake and Mark are the real deal. They know their craft, are honest, reliable, and great to work with. They take the time to learn what your “vision” is and the work with you to create it. Communication is on point….no surprises. This is the second project I hired them for, which pretty much says it all. If you’re lucky enough to land them as your contractors, you won’t be disappointed.

Asa Stanford did a detached garage with a room above. Their work exceeded our expectations. They always let us know when they were showing, always actually did show up, and treated the project like the house was theirs. Blake and Mark were very easy to work with. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for trustworthy and skilled general contractor. Will be using them again for my projects in the future.

ASA Stanford was wonderful to work with. They communicated daily and informed us of all necessary items along the way. They cleaned up after themselves daily and always treated our home with respect. Their subcontractors were the same way! I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have work done. We could not be more pleased with the workmanship and overall experience.

We cannot say enough good things about Blake and Mark (co-owners/partners at Asa Stanford) who we discovered on Angie's List. Blake came to our first meeting on time and prepared with print-outs (and his own notes) of the architectural design we had provided for a 400 sq ft den and office addition. It was clear he had put some thought into our project before he arrived. He spent about an hour reviewing the project with us, looking over our home, going into the attic, answering our questions, etc. He was able to provide an estimate for the project with our plans. Blake was very patient, detailed and thorough - and we knew before he left our driveway we wanted to hire him. Not only are Mark and Blake just really nice guys, they are really good at what they do. They worked seamlessly with our designer to review and finalize the building plans. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. Blake and Mark answered the phone almost every time we called (even if it was 4 PM on a Friday) and would answer texts and emails promptly. Blake constantly kept us informed of the schedule, which subs to expect, etc. Overall, we were happy with the work of the subs, and pleased with the oversight Mark and Blake had on their work. Mark himself is a very talented carpenter and nearly single handedly built the frame of the addition by himself - even our neighbors were pretty shocked watching him at work. (And for the record, as we learned from our conversations with Mark, he is equally as humble as he is skilled.) A few times, we asked about adding some things that weren't in our original contract, and Blake would give us his thoughts, research the cost and get back to us very quickly with an exact cost. There were some hiccups along the way (as there are with any project), but we never worried about them because we trusted Blake and Mark to take care of them, whatever they were. These guys really are the best. Overall, the project finished a few weeks early and came in right around the original cost estimation. We are so pleased with the finished result. It is even better than we anticipated, and we appreciate having full confidence in the materials and craftsmanship. We have already recommended Asa Stanford to neighbors and would hire them again in an instant.

It was great!! They worked diligently to meet timelines which allowed us to move in on time. Very responsive and excellent communication. Dependable and showed up when said they would. Clean work area. Work was to my specifications and at a very high standard. Would highly recommend!!

Great job by this company. We just moved into a new house with little storage and they extended an existing closet. They exceeded our expectations; were on time; completed the work in 2.5 days and it looks like the extension was always part of the room. Very courteous and hard working guys.

The process of building my garage went great! I am a repeat customer of ASA (Blake and Mark), they built my screened-in porched last year that I am extremely happy with. When I decided to add a detached garage, I contacted Blake at ASA. Blake and I discussed what I wanted in the detached garage and they handled everything from plans, permits and coordinating the construction process which included city/county inspections. Blake kept me informed throughout the whole process. The detached garage turned out great and an excellent addition to my home.

From start to finish, these guys are the real deal. They consistently not only met my expectations, but exceeded them as well. Flexible, professional, and accessible. Any concerns I had were addressed and met with suggestions and/or solutions. As everyone knows, construction , renovation, or building can be stressful. My project went as smooth as it possibly could, and that’s due in large part to Blake and Mark! I would hire them again in a minute!

Working with Asa Stanford was one of the best experiences with a contractor I have ever had. I met with several contractors before going with Blake and Mark. Their price was competitive and, unlike others that I met with, they offered a true "turn key" experience. They handled everything from beginning to end. They gave me almost daily updates about the status of the project so I knew exactly where we were at and what needed to be done and they were always available when I had questions. I couldn’t be happier with my finished garage. It turned out better than I could have imagined.

Excellent in every way. The project was the finishing of our basement of over 2,500 square feet including a kitchen, bathroom, laundry room, bedroom, living room, recreation/TV area plus a couple storage areas. All quality work from the start. I submitted my design sketch and requirements to Blake and he gave me a quote in 24 hours over the weekend. Blake and Mark helped refine the design which was a bit challenging with the support poles to work around. We are extremely pleased with the final layout. Mark performed the framing and much of the detail work on site and is extremely neat and quality conscious, making sure the HVAC, electrician, plumber and other subs do things exactly right. The basement was kept clean and orderly throughout the project with trash taken away frequently by cans. No dumpster in the driveway which was great. Mark was good at explaining things and answering my wife's questions. Mark was very helpful as the project was being completed to make sure that the closet shelves and the TV mounting support were all perfectly done . Great attention to details. When Mark was finished we could not believe how clean and neat everything was. We had expected to need to have a cleaning service come in after the basement was complete but it was immaculate. Mark worked til about 9 pm on a Friday night to get everything just right and we moved things down Saturday morning. A great experience. Project was completed a couple months ago and we love it.....no issues or concerns at all. I highly recommend Blake and Mark and would definitely use them again.

After watching Mark and Blake construct a beautiful screened porch for one of our neighbors earlier this summer my wife and I decided to take the plunge ourselves. Thanks to the Asa Stanford team we can now enjoy the outdoors from our own screened porch nearly year round. Their workmanship is simply outstanding. They were punctual and professional throughout the process and, in a nutshell, we couldn’t have been happier with the final product. We recommend them highly and will use them again for future projects.

My experience with Asa Standford Inc was very good. They were very responsive from beginning to end of project. I met with Blake and explained what I wanted in a screen porch. Blake and his business partner Mark made some very good recommendations about the size and design of the screened in porch, and I am glad they did. They provided me an estimated timeline of work, identified checkpoints at which time a payment would be due for certain completed work, handled the permits, arranged inspections, and had the materials delivered onsite slightly ahead so they could start right away. The workmanship looks really good, and it passed all the inspections. They completed the porch within the timeline they provided me. I am quite please. Overall, Blake is responsive, polite and does not mind answering your questions about the project.

It went very well. I love it! It looks like an original part of the house and not an addition. It was a job well done. I am very pleased and I am enjoying life to the fullest!

Blake and Mark responded quickly, gave us a fair quote and were prepared to start immediately. They explained what they were going to do, and communicated any in-stride change recommendations very well once the project started. They were friendly and courteous, showed up on time and ensured the work sites were tidy at the end of the day. Their quality of work was excellent, and we are very happy with the result. Cannot say enough what an awesome job they did. We built a three room addition for my mother. They listened to our plan, made suggestions along the way to improve, made a reasonable schedule and stuck to it (many times done earlier than projected). They built two rooms,one with a kitchenette along with a full bath with walk-in shower. They are honest, skilled professionals. They went over and above our expectations even installing railings and shelving at the end of the project

Blake and Mark went above and beyond on our renovation project! We recently renovated our entire 2 bedroom condo in the South End and from the first phone call I knew I found the people I was going to hire. When I first spoke with Blake, he was not intimidated by our strict requirements. We needed the work to be done in a high rise with no freight elevator, and we needed the work to be done in 90 days! After that call, Blake viewed the real estate listing online so he would be prepared for our first 'in person' meeting at the unit. I was impressed. Both he and Mark did a very thorough walk through and were able to give us a ballpark estimate on the spot! (this estimate turned out to be accurate when all was said and done). Not only are both Blake and Mark experts in their field but they were willing to move mountains to make my vision come to fruition. I believe their goal on each project is to give the customer exactly what they want and they live this every day on the project site. All subs were trustworthy and kept a clean work space. Blake was very transparent with costs. All costs were outlined in detail in the original contract. When I made a request that was not part of the original contract, Blake was sure to tell me if this request would incur an additional cost and for how much. When I requested finishes that were not within my 'contract allowance' Blake let me know prior to making the order. Customer Service was incredible! Both Blake and Mark answered the phone every single time I called. I NEVER got their voicemail! Both Mark and Blake are extremely ethical people. In fact, a kitchen designer I worked with at Lowes told me that Blake is the most trustworthy and ethical General Contractor she has worked with! Now that our project is complete, I am beyond pleased with the quality of work that was done, and the respect with which my family, and my residence was treated. I will recommend ASA Stanford to all friends and family needing a General Contractor!

Excellent. First of all, I am writing this as the son-in-law of the owners who are not "internet savvy". But I was involved in the selection of this company and witnessed a very organized and professional remodel of my mother-in-law's kitchen. And it's a good thing for me it worked out! But truly they were very happy with every aspect of their the design, construction and finish of this project. Asa Stanford Inc and its owner Blake should be one everyone in need of a remodel should consider. And given my experience why consider anyone else!

Asa Stanford is simply excellent and the customer service is outstanding. They show up on time, every day. They keep their word, and often exceed expectations. At the end of each day, the job site is cleaned, and all trash is removed. Additionally, they are very experienced and easily navigate through the unexpected challenges that arise during a remodel while staying true to their initial estimate. Bottom line: they perform high quality work at a reasonable rate. These guys are rock stars and I highly recommend them.
