Advanced Surface Solutions

I got estimates from three companies for a "knock down" surface also known as "cool decking". Mastic/caulk around the whole pool also needed to be replaced. Advanced Surface Solutions' price was in the middle. The company that was less expensive didn't make me feel like they knew what they were doing and talking about. So I went with Advanced Surface Solutions. They were very backed up and the wet Spring didn't help things, but I couldn't be happier with their work. It looks great, they left everything perfectly clean and in order. Most importantly, I was able to throw away the ugly, nasty mats I was using to protect our feet. Very, very happy! UPDATE 10-17-17 Great! Couldn't be happier.

Very well. Deborah was there to introduce the gentlemen doing the work and came by each day to check on there progress. The 2 gentlemen that performed our work were very polite, answered my questions and cleaned up there work space each day. We had a lot of broken and cracked surfaces that look like new now. Very pleased with the results and would recommend!

It turned out fine. About 4 people did the work and it took 2 days. They cleaned up the area. They did what they said what they said they were going to do.

Advanced Surface Solutions was very responsive to us from the beginning of this project until the end.  All of our questions and concerns were answered immediately. The work was completed in the timeframe specified and we are extremely pleased with the results.

Advanced Surface Solutions contacted me prior to the work being done so I could look at the various options / colors for my new basement floors.  I also sent them a picture of floors that I really liked.  Based on the picture I sent, they helped me choose the correct type of finish (epoxy metallic) and the correct colors.  They then scheduled the days for grinding the floors and then applying the finish. They were punctual, did the job in a speedy fashion, did not create a mess of any sort, and followed up to make sure I was happy and to provide me with documentation on the warranty and follow-up care.

Tim from Advanced Surface Solutions initially provided an estimate online and in a second step came to my house to have look at the garage directly. He recommend a Poly Aspartic coating for my requirements, which also is better suited to the low temperatures in January. In order to have a better feel for the color of the stain he recommended to come to his showroom to look at the samples there. While this does not necessarily show you the color exactly the way it turns out in on your floor, which is unavoidable for all concrete acid stains and was mentioned several times by Tim, it gives you a good overview of the differences between the different options. In my case the color turned out to be somewhat darker than the sample, but that was no problem. The actual preparation and coating of the floor was done in one day and when I came home I had a shiny and nicely colored floor. Tim even added a third coat of clear when the originally quoted two coats did not yield the desired coverage. The price ($4 per sq. ft.) was not the cheapest offer I had (therefore the B rating above), but still reasonable compared to the competition and I preferred the offered stain plus Poly Aspartic to the epoxy solution offered elsewhere. The quality overall is good, but for an A (excellent) rating some details would have needed more attention.

They did a great job. The guys who installed it were very professional; they measured everything by laser. When the product showed up here it fit perfect. The guys who installed it were very professional installers; everything worked out good. Their price was very reasonable.

We were doing a pool remodel, installed stone on all the surrounding walls and wanted to dress up the concrete patio.  Tim and his guys came over and found a piece of equipment to clean all the surface drains (which were almost completely plugged up).  They applied the coating and then put color on top of that.  When I arrived home from the beach, the color wasn't what I thought it was going to be, so Tim graciously came out and reapplied a different color, which turned out beautifully.  They also removed all the of plastic "concrete spacers" which were in terrible shape, and put some sort of commercial epoxy in their place.  The whole process was smooth and the end result is exactly how I imagined it would be. His crew was very easy to work with and I would highly recommend them!

Had Quick-Crete epoxy-reinforced paint applied to garage floor about a year ago. Paint started peeling badly over the last 6 months and we decided to remove it. We learned that, despite what you have heard and seen on TV, applying epoxy to any concrete surface is a job best left to professionals. We made a number of calls prior to using Advanced and were unable to find anyone else either skilled enough or willing enough to do this work.

Called Tim on a Monday and two days later they were here to do the job. The work takes a full day, since the paint has to be ground off with a diamond grinder. Sealant is then applied and takes 3 days to dry. Overall, the job went very well and was done in a very professional manner. Would recommend this company anytime.
