They were thoroughly professional, as well as being cheerful! Ken & his helper Dave were just VERY nice people. Everything we asked for was done. When we asked them for opinions on various items connected the the porch, once they were sure we wanted them, they gave them. They helped us to improve our plans. They work with other contractors for painting and a few other services. Abbott Builders came by to check out the work done by those people. One day the other contractors had missed cleaning up some of their supplies and when Ken saw it he said "don't worry about it, I will send someone over to clean it up" and he did. We had a punch list at the end of a few small items that needed to be tweaked and it was taken care of within a week.

It was perfect. They have great customer service, on time. The price was reasonable and there were no hidden cost. They are very honest.

Extremely well done in timely manner. Kept owners informed and stayed within proposed budget. Cleaned up daily and thoroughly when job completed.. Job quote was slightly higher than competitors but performance and project satisfaction supports our strong recommendation of Abbott Builders for similar home remodeling.

Love the finished product!

We are extremely happy with the result. Ken and his crew delivered an excellent product. We did run into a soil problem midway through the project, of course not the fault of Abbott builders just an unfortunate circumstance. This added significant cost to the project due to mandates about foundation design, etc. Also resulted in a substantial landscaping investment to clean up the damage to the yard. All of this mentioned only so others can plan for additional costs that might be incurred beyond just the deck build.

It was awesome...painless...ahead of schedule and on budget. Neat and tidy. Great experience...could not ask for more.

Ken Abbott was a delight to work with. We talked to several contractors before settling on Ken to build our screened porch. As part of that process, we spoke with 3 references and all reported that their job was professionally done and that they were pleased with Ken's work.

Ken was reasonable with his quote relative to others we talked to and yet did not underbid materials or cost. We appreciated his opinions on several aspects of the design and materials and went with his recommendations. He also listened to what we wanted rather than try and talk us into things we didn't want. (Unlike some of the other contractors.)
Ken managed all aspects of the work, including subcontractors as needed and scheduling all county inspections. He always communicated when he would be onsite, always showed up when expected, and made sure the site was cleaned up every day before he left.

As you can see in the photos, all materials including soffits, siding, paint, gutters, shingles, etc. were matched to the house according to HOA regulations. The overall finish is professional and we've received many positive comments from neighbors and friends.

We would highly recommend Ken as a contractor!
