About us
Everyone at Wake Forest Animal Hospital loves what they do and it shows. You and your pet will leave with a smile (they can smile; we've seen them!). Walk through our doors with your pet and you'll see what we mean. Our facility includes an in-house surgical care unit, grooming department, covered outdoor exercise area and a separate cat ward. But what is most important is the level of care that you can expect from a high quality animal hospital. Our fully equipped surgical facility provides a sterile environment for both major and minor surgical procedures. Patient's vital signs are monitored with modern equipment designed for early detection of any possible abnormalities with their cardiac and respiratory systems. Only the safest, most up-to-date anesthetic protocols are used, thereby minimizing complications for your pet. Providing proper dental care for your pet not only prevents tooth and gum diseases such as cavities, gingivitis and periodontal disease, but also prevents other more serious diseases and problems that are often secondary to neglected dental hygiene. Our modern dental equipment enables us to perform teeth cleaning, polishing and extracting as well as oral surgery. The in-house laboratory is capable of running a wide range of tests for immediate results, including blood cell counts, major organ system evaluations, heart worm and intestinal worm checks, complete urine analysis and tests for various infectious diseases. We also utilize a local veterinary reference laboratory for running a wide range of other tests and blood panels with a very short turnaround time for results. This enables us to provide more tests at a much lower price with a greater degree of accuracy. We've taken steps to make our pet patrons more comfortable. Cat nerves are kept a little calmer in our separate cat ward, away from loud, barking dogs. We know that an unhappy cat makes for an unhappy owner. The pooches appreciate our covered outdoor exercise area. Rain or shine, they can get some exercise and expend some of that energy. But its more than the surroundings that make our hospital comfortable, its the people. Our staff is comprised of true animal lovers, and your pet is the better for it. They'll receive the kind of attention that they're used to at home. Ask any of our clients, everyone at Wake Forest Animal Hospital has an excellent bedside manner. And bring the kids! They'll love our Jungle Lobby, but be sure to take a quick look around. We don't keep you waiting.

Perfect. We are new to the area and I wanted a cat specialist. Dr. Bennet - one of thee vets there is a cat specialist and has lots of cats of her own. We saw a lot of pleased cat owners while we were there.
Got some new and excellent information about cat food and getting our cat's weight down. Gave me a choice of type of shot and slight risk of 3 year shot.
Met right on time, very quick and efficient. Price is about right for service.
I am very pleased.
Dr. Bennet was so kind..she asked me to please start at the beginning of the ordeal and go through his whole history from where we got him at to other pets to his litter box habits. We spend a good amount of time finding out the WHOLE picture! She wanted to rule out any medical issues with him so asked if she could keep him for a while to get a good urine sample. I came back later that afternoon, and had found my cat very comfortable and in cleaned out carrier. She had also taken the time to get some mats that he had developed in this rump region from not taking care of himself due to being upset.
Dr. Bennett called later that day to find out how he was doing and then followed up the next morning to give me results of the lab tests. My cat is clear of anything medical and we went with a game plan to rearrange his litter box/style and type. We are also improving his diet and making accomodations to get more water in to him as it was discovered in his urine that he was bit dehydrated. I FINALLY felt like I was listened to about my pet and that my pet is on the road to being normal again. This practice get my A rating because they deserved it!
