Working with Amy was so amazing! We renovated our kitchen and she helped us through every step of the way. It would have been a disaster without her coordinating - we were so nervous to renovate and she made the process as smooth as it could have been. Plus, we absolutely LOVE our quartz counter tops! Would highly recommend working with her team. We will miss you guys!

Job was completed quickly. We have had no problems with the stability of any of the surfaces that were installed. The five-year seal that they applied is doing well except for one bathroom, that required resealing after one year.

First, I contacted all my local area granite fabricators listed on Angie's List using their web site's 'contact me' function.  I work all day so I can pay for these things and do not have access to make personal calls.  This handy feature is great for communicating with a service provider during the times I have available to do so - providing somebody will read and respond to them.
Sadly, or happily for me as it turned out, the sole vendor to respond to my inquires was Upon the Rock Granite and Marble.
I had a great time corresponding with Gray in the office getting all set up for the service with quotations for each item.  Mike and Rusty arrived right on time and set to work taking careful measurements of my new cooktop.  After transferring the dimensions onto the counter they started building a dust containment wall since this was gonna be very messy.  I happily provided some materials and assisted in creating the best wall we could to corral the granite dust .
They cleaned up the mess inside the temporary wall and I was happy to find there wan't granite dust everywhere.  Next, he proceeded on to polishing a damaged marble top.  Mike also build a slurry shield here so as to not splatter all over my walls.  The end result was fabulous!  I couldn't tell where the top had ever been damaged at all.
The best compliment I can give Upon the Rock Granite and Marble is they ROCK, pun intended.

Initially, Amy was great to work with. She helped me decide what granite and marble I would like to have. Everything went well until installation. In the kitchen, there were two seams placed at the top of our farmhouse sink and the seams were obvious. More than that, though, in the cutting process, there were notches made along the edge of the sink where their power tool hit the edge of the counter top and it was almost like a scalloped edge in three places. They sent their seam expert out to fix the problem and it is much better, but far from my expectations. The second problem is worse than that. We chose a Bottocino marble for the bathroom with a backsplash. After installation, an obvious crack appeared that went from the top to the bottom of the backsplash that you can see and feel. It looks broken, and it is. There are two more smaller fissures that opened up, supposedly after install, and one chip at the top of the backsplash. I have made several attempts to ask Upon the Rock to fix this problem and to replace the backsplash for us. They only want to apply acrylic to the open cracks to seal them. This does not make them disappear, or make them feel smooth. If only one part of the job had issues, it could be a more forgiving situation. But for the kitchen and bathroom both to have serious problems on a brand new installation, something is very wrong. Also, now that the marble is purchased, cut and installed, they want to educate me that this is the character of the stone, and that makes my problem, since I chose it. It's a bit late to educate the customer after the fact. And that takes the responsibility off of them and puts it on me. I like Amy and I regret that we have not been able to resolve this in a favorable manner. I also regret that we employed them to do this job.
I initially scored the company higher for punctuality because they scheduled their work quickly and the installers showed up close to the times they said they would, but I also include punctuality in considering the amount of time it takes to get a call-back. After numerous phone calls and emails, Amy has not responded.
Our project cost us $5400, and we should be happy with the results. I cannot recommend their work to anyone else.

They came out and templated and cut the granite for us. They were on time and punctual. The cut was perfect and there were no issues. Everything was fine.

Amy was wonderful to work with. She even helped us pick out new faucets for the kitchen and laundry room that would go well with the granite that we had chosen.

They were fabulous, and it was a very clean operation. They knew exactly what they were doing. They came in on time and measured the countertops. The owner was very helpful. They came to see my house to have an idea of the colors and so forth. They went with me to help me pick up the granite. They were really good people, and it was a great experience for me. The installers were no-nonsense people. They were very professional and knowledgeable of what they were doing. They were Johnny-on-the-spot. They were in and out in no time. They cleaned up after themselves so well that I could not even tell that they were here when they left. I have nothing bad to say about their operation, and I have referred them to many friends. The price depended on my selection; they were very reasonable for their services. They worked with me in terms of the budget. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

We enjoyed working with the people that came out to give us the estimate. They seemed to have the whole package, and that is why we chose them. They performed good quality work. They were very competitively priced too. I would recommend them to others.

Met with owner, Amy Holderby, for consultation. Very pleasant individual with years of experience with different types of stone. Family run business so quality is essential for survival in today's economy. After in home consultation a meeting was set for stone selection. Amy has a keen sense of style and color and was able to direct me to stones that would work with my existing decor. Amy in no way directed me to the most expensive stones but worked with me on beautiful stones that were within my prior established budget . Once the stone was selected, my counters were measured, then I was asked to come to the fabrication shop where I could decide on how the template should be placed on my chosen stone. The installation of the stone was so painless. The workers arrived on time, did the demolition of the existing counter tops and put in my beautiful new granite counter tops in approximately 4 hours. The workers were clean, professional and left absolutely no mess for me to clean. What a relief that was ! Just an excellent job all around by the staff and installers from Upon The Rock. I highly recommend using these nice people when you are ready to upgrade or remodel that kitchen or bath.
