CHARGED FOR JOB LIST NOT COMPLETED (4 done of 12). *CHARGED $204 FOR ?SUPPLIES? WITH NO RECEIPT/PROOF AND FOR JOBS NOT DONE! *CHARGED FOR ?FULL DAY?S WORK? AND WERE IN HOUSE ONLY 6 HOURS. *REFUSED TO CORRECT AND FINISH WORK. Triangle Restoration and Remodel Corp., Wake Forest, NC, was not honest to me and took advantage of me-- I am a widow age almost 70 years living on a small, fixed pension--upon moving to NC for my first grandbaby, I had unwittingly rented in a dangerous area of Durham, making my move into the house I bought urgent and the work necessary before I moved. Do not hire them--Summary: Triangle Restoration and Remodel Corp., Wake Forest, NC, charged me for a full day?s work (they were in the house for only 6 hours?verified by realtor) for 3 men to complete 12 fully discussed handyman jobs (most related to SAFETY) before I could move into my newly purchased home, when only 4 were actually completed, causing me to incur additional costs for which I have receipts. ? I contacted Triangle R & R to correct and finish jobs by phone, emails, (and ?snail mail? to which there was no response at all). Jeremy Wyman refused, telling me THEN that there were jobs on the list that ?he does not do?: ? Jeremy Wyman was provided my typed list 2 days prior to the work, and told me it would take 3 men a full day to complete for $600.00. He did NOT tell me then that he ?could not do? some of the listed jobs. My realtor let him and his men enter the house at 9:00 a.m. He called me at 3:00 pm, stating they were ?waiting for me? and they had ?successfully completed the list?. Some of the jobs were not done or done poorly (not at the ?accepted standard of performance?), but this did not become evident until after he was paid. ? I was charged additional $204 for ?supplies? but Jeremy Wyman had no receipts or proof to provide for me, as is customary. No way did the few, small supplies cost that amount: My list = 2 door swing latches, small board under sink, and insulation on 2 small crawl space attic doors! At the time, I thought the total was for parts for a larger job BUT THAT JOB WAS NOT DONE. ? JOB NOT DONE/LIED TO ATTORNEY GENERAL: One job was to repair a hole in the floor under the washing machine, which led to the crawl space under the house. I have photo dated AFTER, taken by flooring installers when it was moved, showing it was NEVER done. But Jeremy Wyman told the Attorney General Consumer Protection Division of the Dept. of Justice that he HAD covered the hole. Then mice entered the house and I incurred additional costs. ? I was also told that a baby gate (for dogs) ?could not be installed? yet my realtor?s grade 9 son did it! and HEAVY (1984) closet door falling off (dangerous) that Jeremy Wyman said I broke, actually had needed a PART and was repaired correctly by another handyman! Etc.etc.
Description of Work: One job was to repair a hole under the washer. They said they did it. I moved the washer and the hole was still there. One job was to fix a closet door. Once he left, it fell, later finding that all it needed was a small part.
