Paid in full but notified by email that they needed to come back to trim bush further back and pick up pile of limbs/sticks that were left. Said they would but waited a month and contacted them again with no response. We were very accommodating with their schedule as they would show up and then not for a while. My husband was told their equipment kept breaking down. They were adamant about being paid 1/2 before they start and 1/2 when finished but weren't really finished.

We were satisfied with the service and recommended them to others until problems started around 2006. This was after our original account rep, Ron Morra, who maintained our account left and we started a succession of account reps who turned over frequently and could not maintain the service we got from Ron. One, Angela, tried to provide this service and kept us giving them another chance year after year until she left also. We gave them many verbal and email warnings of specifics that were wrong in the yard. The most crucial problem was that the yard went from grass that they maintained beautifully to mostly weeds that they could not get rid of for 3 years running.They went from doing the contracted items routinely to having to be constantly reminded and called back to re-do bad service including not weeding the beds, forgetting to prune certain plants, aerating and seeding without warning us to adjust our watering, etc The owner would not return calls made specifically to him, but had the rep, usually a new one, call us. We copied the owner on emails also and he never responded. We paid them $400/month from 2001 until Nov 2010 and I felt that deserved one phone call from the owner when we had repeated documented issues. When I canceled the service I demanded he, not a rep, call me and he did after many hours even though I told the receptionist what I was planning to do. He did not try to rectify the situation, but admitted the service was bad because he could not get good people in my area to be account reps. It was a very polite conversation, but the message I got from the conversation was, I don't care about you as a customer and I'm fine letting this go. I feel confident we gave them many chances, much benefit of the doubt (probably more than we should have) and we were reasonable in our expectations. I would not recommend them to anyone else for these services on a contract basis because they cannot maintain service long-term.
