Gonzalez Tree Pros & Crane, Inc

I have never used a tree service before, so I wasn't sure what to expect.  Because it was a small job for a very good price, I agreed to allow them to schedule the work on fairly short notice, when a crew was going to be in the area.  The supervisor called me a couple days before the crew arrived, to let me know the date and approximate time.  It rained early that morning, but they showed up close to the scheduled time.  It didn't matter to me, because I did not need to be present for the work to be completed.  Two men did the work, both very professional.  They had good equipment and were clearly skilled at their jobs.  The tree was infested with bag worms and wasps, which made for an additional challenge.  The onsite foreman confirmed with me that I wanted the stump removed prior to beginning the work.  The supervisor had recommended just pulling out the stump since it was a small tree.  I pointed out the utility markings left by NC811 so they would be fully informed.  They dispatched the tree quickly, pulled it out by the roots, shook off the loose soil, and left the site in good condition.  The supervisor called to make sure I was happy after the job was completed.   I am very pleased with the work!

Gonzalez was the most affordable of 3 quotes.  Their crew came out the following day and worked like a well oiled machine.  In 8 hours they had all the trees gone and the area cleaned up.  You might want to ask them to make the call to "no cuts" to make sure all power and cable lines are marked by the city before work is done.  They did a really good job!

I  contacted Gonzalez Tree Care via Angie's list early in the day. Within a short time, the company requested my address and a short time later arrived to give an estimate. I accepted the estimate and the work was performed immediately. Within a short time, the tree was removed from its precarious perch on the shed. They cut it apart, and a few hours later, others came to remove the logs and clean up all the debris. They completed the job by blowing off the nearby area, then proceeded to blow debris off the entire driveway. They did the job they came to do and more.

Our experience with this company was wonderful.  They responded to our request for an estimate within 24 hours (other companies either did not call or took more than a week), Brian assessed the work carefully and accurately, told us what would be involved in taking the trees down, when they would come to do the work, and gave us a good estimate.  The work involved a crane, lifting trees over a building, some difficult situations. Everyone we spoke to affiliated with this company was friendly, polite and pleasant.  Mr. Gonzalez and his crew were very knowledgeable, professional, and careful.  The organization and teamwork were outstanding.  They arrived on time, and did all the work in 3-3.5 hours, leaving a clean yard and wood stacked where we asked.  We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

I believe that I would consider this to be a large job. I called Brian a week prior to the work and he promptly reviewed the scope of work. (The back half of my lot (approx. 1/4 acre) was in essence a complete natural area that got out of control over the past 30 years.) He provided a written estimate for the work, on the spot.

Although not the cheapest estimate that we received, Gonzalez Tree Services included items not offered in other estimates (ie ivy removal/scraping, poplar take down, sapling removal etc..)

Less than a week after we received the estimate, Brian, Jose and his crew arrived promptly at 8:00 AM. We reviewed the scope of work with Jose and his men were already unloading all of their equipment. Had about a 7 man crew, 3 trucks, huge chipper and a bobcat along with many chainsaws, blowers and other equipment. Jose and his crew were very courteous throughout the day.( I as well as a neighbor were very impressed with the speed and effectiveness of the entire crew.) By three in the afternoon the job was complete. They left the site very tidy with raking loose soil and wood chips in the area serviced as well as cleaning the access area(front driveway and street in front of the house. There are tire tracks in the existing lawn from the equipment traveling from the street to the back yard area, but this was expected.

I really believe that Jose and his crew will be very high on my list to contact should future needs dictate tree work

Gonzalez Tree Care did an excellent job cutting down and stump grinding the trees.  They were careful to clean up all the branches, leaves, etc.  You could barely notice there was a tree in that spot when they were finished. 
The only small hiccup during the process was in scheduling the job.  There were a lot of calls after a thunderstorm (tornado warnings) so our estimate didn't make it through the system to be scheduled the first time.  However, we were promptly scheduled when I sent Brian a followup message.  Overall, I would highly recommend Gonzalez Tree Care.  They definitely had teh best prices and do excellent work.

Very fast and discussed future tree removal needs

I wind brought down a tree in my backyard and they removed it. It was very good. I give them a good rating. They were able to come right away.

We contacted Gonzalez Tree Care to remove to large trees that were over hanging our house.  They arrived promptly and within 2 hours had both trees removed, stumps ground and the areas raked and cleaned up - aside from the large pile of mulch left from the stump removal, you wouldn't even have known that they had been there.  The crew was experienced, worked safely and quickly taking special care not to drop anything on the house or in surrounding gardens.  Final price was right on the estimate - no surprises - Fair price to remove two large trees within a foot of our roofline.  Very pleased - difficult tree removal job - done quickly and professionally.  Would definitely recommend them and would use them again.

They were on-the-minute punctual.  They showed up, ready to work.  They cut down the trees quickly, carefully and safely and removed all brush and sawdust.  The only way you knew that they were there was the tree was missing.  They were friendly - let us know when they arrived and when they were leaving.  It was a great experience and I would confidently recommend them to anyone in need of tree care.

I called for a quote on trimming up some trees.  A company representative came out and gave me a quote and we agreed on a date to perform the work.  The company showed up on the appointment date, performed the work quickly and efficiently and cleaned up.  I got what I paid for and was happy.

Brian was great at the pricing and very helpful working around MY schedule.  Crew came on time, worked quickly and efficiently as a team and then Mr. Gonzalez came to evaluate the job and speak with me.  He told me he had also pruned a few dead branches on two other trees.  Thanks very much for a great job!

They were great. They did an estimate the same day I contacted them and left it at the house. The estimate was very reasonable, so I called to schedule the work. They came by the next afternoon and removed the tree.  From first contact to tree removal was less than 24 hours.
I would use Gonzalez Tree Care again and will recommend them to my friends in the future.
