Dave’s has been excellent to work with. We have been having trouble with our ice maker on and off for some time. Dave’s initially came out and made a repair which fixed the problem briefly, but we started having trouble again within about 4-6 weeks. They came out again at no charge to fix that problem. We had to have them back several other times since then, and we have only been charged for new parts that were replaced (unrelated to the initial part). They have stood behind their work, and have been very good to work with. They are also very friendly and professional. They have been very responsive, accommodating, and are punctual.

They diagnosed problem wrong, completely killed control panel while replacing the second part that was ordered. I went weeks without a washer either waiting on parts or their return. They left the washer disassembled which made it difficult to call someone else. Finally, after more than a month without a washer, I asked for my money back and bought a new machine which should not have been the result as the machine was fine except for the problem they were called about. Will never use them again.

The whole experience went very well. I called and arranged a time for him to come diagnose the problem. He was prompt and professional and called ahead when coming (both times). He made the diagnosis of what the problem was, ordered the part and arranged a time to come back and install the part. The billing was clear, fast and transparent. I thought the price was a bit high for a fairly straight-forward repair, but it was far cheaper than a new ice maker. He was also friendly and personable. I would recommend him and would use him again for future repairs.

Everything went great!  The tech repaired the ice dispenser on my refrigerator.
I called and arranged an appointment.  I received a call the day before to confirm.  The tech called about 10 minutes before arrival to let me know he was on the way.  He arrived and immediately went to work, he was courteous and professional.  He quickly diagnosed the problem and made the repairs in less than 25 minutes.  He cleaned up but there was really no mess to be cleaned.  He had the necessary repair part with him.  He told me to call if anything went wrong but so far the ice dispenser is working fine.

On a Sunday evening we noticed our ice cream was soft and later realized that both the refrigerator and freezer we not cooling/freezing.  On Monday morning we called Dave's and they were able to come out early that afternoon.  They replaced the evaporator fan motor and got us up and running again.

Four months later the refrigerator stopped working and we called Dave's about fixing it but they said they could not look at it for six days (even though I reminded them they'd recently fixed it).  We wound up buying a new refrigerator to avoid losing all our food and being without a refrigerator.

I originally called Dave in  early July 2014 because the microwave, although it had power, did not warm food when turned on. It took some time to get the appointment because the office is overworked ? non-responsive? He came and said the fault was in the door which he repaired. I got the bill and before I could pay it, his wife Valerie called to say the billing was incorrect and that they would send out a new bill. In the end, it was correct but I had to call them to finally get confirmation that I should be able to pay the original bill. That took until the end of August.


The repair did not last long and in September 2014, the exact same issue started again. He did come promptly and he actually removed the microwave form the wall and took it to his repair shop. To his credit, because I think he and his wife are honest, he did not ask for any money since he stated this fell under his work warranty.   He brought it back and it worked but the repair lasted only about 6 weeks.  I called again in November. I spoke to his wife. She said they were busy but she would get back to me with when Dave could come by. I never heard from her. I called again. She said that Dave didn't know what was wrong with my appliance. She promised Dave would get back to me. It is now January and I never heard form Dave or Valerie.


I think Dave knows his stuff. I think Valerie is very nice. However, the non-responsiveness and the need to call multiple times is just too much. I need someone who is easier to schedule with. I don't blame him for not getting the repair right. I certainly understand that there may be some other issue so that is not a concern.

In quick time, Dave came out to my house and informed me of two things.
1) He could fix the cooling, temporarily.
2) There would need to be a control board that would be replaced on my refrigerator. He told me that they would call me back in order to reschedule an appointment.
After a couple of weeks, I had called and left a couple of voice mails, but had yet to hear back. I finally got in touch with Valerie, who apologized profusely, and told me that she would call me by the end of the day to set up an appointment.
That call never came, I tried to call back near the close of business but it seemed they had closed early.
I managed to get in touch with Valerie a few days later, who seemed surprised that Dave had not yet been out to fix my refrigerator. She apologized again, and promised me that Dave would be out THAT DAY to fix my issue.
Dave, again, did not show up.
It's been almost 3 months now, and this problem has still not been fixed. I have called the warranty service and they have also informed me that the company not only billed them for the part that did not get installed in my refrigerator, but he also had marked my issue as resolved despite it not being so.
Through this, not one call has ever been given to me to try to schedule an appointment, to apologize for missed appointments, nor to inform me that they were never planning to finish this whatsoever.
I would not recommend Dave's under any circumstances, and it very much appears that they have absolutely no interest in earning any future business from me.

My dishwasher was recalled by Maytag because it might catch a fire, so I called Maytag and they sent contracted Dave's Appliances to fix it. The repair was about thirty minutes late, and he didn't apologize once he arrived. However, when he arrived, he went straight to work. He didn't make any small talk. He just fixed it and told me I shouldn't have any more problems. The dishwasher works, so I am satisfied. I may consider using him again in the future.

I had an appt with Sears this morning but they blew me off. In desperation I called Daves Appliance Care and they WERE AT MY HOUSE IN 30 MINUTES! I couldnt believe it. I was in such a nasty mood after being blown off by Sears and they put the smile right back on my face. They have all my future business. I'm so glad I met a competent company who can take care of my appliance needs.

FYI.... SEARS WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME $129 FOR THE VISIT ....................PLUS PARTS.
           DAVES APPLIANCE CARE ONLY CHARGED ME $95!!!!   NEED I SAY MORE?

I called and within 2 hours, they were at the house to fix the dryer. The heating element had gone bad due to the vent being bent. They were very prompt, professional and fixed the vent along with the heating element. They were a little pricey, but worth it since I had 2 loads of wet clothes!

There was one person who could not fix our dish washer and the other person basically gave us back our dishwasher. When Dave came out to give us the estimate he was on time and he was fair. He made sure it worked. He had to come out a couple of times. The first time he came out to see what exactly the problem was and then he had to order a part and come back to fix it. I also called him when I had an issue with the oven. He asked for the name of the brand and said he did not work on that brand as he was not authorized but he was ready to try. I have called him for other things too and he has been fair.

Dave was very responsive from the start. He first came out to assess the situation and confirmed the I did indeed need a new keypad. He let me know it may take up to two weeks for the part to come in and he call me to schedule the next appointment after he received the part. About 1 1/2 weeks later he called and three days later my dishwasher was working again. He didn't ask for any fee during the first visit saying "you don't pay until the job is done".

THE SERVICE THAT THEY HAVE PROVIDED ON THE STOVE HAS BEEN VERY GOOD. THEY ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. I DON'T LIKE THE STOVE ITSELF, BUT THEIR SERVICE ON IT IS GOOD.
