The whole project went perfectly. The pandemic related supply problems were dealt with as were finding matching interior wood flooring and exterior Trex decking. The major demolition and reconstruction were well planned and quickly completed given the winter weather and to maintain the security of the premises. Scott is very easy to deal with and extremely competent.

Scott was a pleasure to work with. He is very professional and knowledgeable. The teams he brought in to do the work were top notch. We love our new kitchen, sunroom and new covered deck. Overall, a great experience and we highly recommend Big Sky Homes Inc.

I hired Big Sky Homes to build me a garage and it went incredibly well. Scott Bower is one of the most honest builders I've ever dealt with. He genuinely cares about the quality of work he provides to his customers. My new garage is amazing. The builder put in expert detail. He made himself available to me day and night in case I had any concerns. He checked in on the subcontractors as late as 9pm on some evenings. He called me regularly to give me updates on the building process. He was easy to work with, he worked to keep the costs down to stay under budget. The quality of work is outstanding. My husband couldn't believe how well the garage was built and Scott paid perfect attention to detail. If you're looking for a builder, this man is your guy. He will stand beside you and the product he provides to you.

Scott was by far the best person to work with. Custom building this house with a large garage was a completely smooth process from start to finish. He is on top of each and every step along the way and on top of each one of the contractors. The quality of the finished job is top notch. $32,000.00 !. That's 32K hard earned dollars of ours so the job better be perfect, I'll baby sit everything if I have to... But no baby sitting required. I was totally braced for every "if it can go wrong it will" scenario to happen and it just plain didn't. A complete pleasure to work with Scott from the first contact to him here on AL to our final payment at the end of the job. Job went smooth as a babies cheek, they worked far more quietly than I thought could be. Didn't even wake my dogs which I was gonna dread each morning but didn't happen. Always on time, neat, professional crew as well as the owner, no mistakes, yard kept in great shape, attention to All details, Scott was Always easy to reach. No "leave a message" crap. Only a couple time delays and that's because of rain & freeze..you get the picture. Scott (owner) is a mellow yet thorough man and was patient with us and never treated a single question like it was a "stupid" question and offered suggestions which saved us money and looked beautiful. And...Under the original quote and on time according to the original bid too. Except those couple days of course. I feel very lucky that our first big project was with Big Sky Homes and since we loved the work so much we took him around showing him more work we want to hire him for. We have an older home.

Scott was easy to reach when I had questions and willing to go out of his way to respond with anything that I needed. He made sure that I was happy as the home progressed and had no problem making changes if that made me happy! He catered to my husband and I with our questions and our needs. I don't think that there are very many, if any builders that would be there always making sure the job was going smoothly and paying attention to detail. To be honest, we choose Scott because he was always willing to pick up the phone and text or call when we had questions. We didn't have to wait a day before he would respond and that was very important to my husband and I. Plus, he built us a beautiful home! We are very impressed with him and would recommend anyone that is building a home to call Big Sky Homes!

Scott was very easy to work with and did extremely well at managing the process from start to finish. He was there a majority of the time overseeing the people doing the work. I liked his attention to detail and when we had a small issue with the AC, he had the company out there until it was fixed to our liking. I would highly recommend him and we will use him again for our next project.

Scott did a great job on my Home Theater. His attention to detail and making the room look like it was built when the rest of the house was built was excellent. He followed up all sub contractors and was ready to answer all of our questions.

It went very well, Scott was great to work with. Was timely, fair price and excellent work. Scott was here every time a sub was here and followed up on all of their work. No hesitation in recommending him. The room turned out great---an in home gym. I added-insulation, extended studs to meet code, added two sky lites, electric, ceiling fan, can lights, two small doors for eve access, hardwood landing and a rubber gym floor

Scott was definitely the best contractor for our renovation. . He is as honest and trustworthy as they come. He was very easy to work with throughout the project with great communication skills. His eye for professionalism was also carried out by his subs. It was comforting to have Scott in charge of our project and we are very much looking forward to him handling Phase Two later this year.

Scott Bower got the project going on time and despite the snow and cold weather, the deck crew put in full days and got the job done on time. The quality of the work was first class.

We purchased our home last Fall and it had a 3rd floor that was already frames/roughed. We started to look for contractors to finish the job. We got a couple of quotes but the #'s just seemed too high. We then decided to just hire sub-contractors and get the job done that way. The plumber we hired mentioned Scott Bower from Big Sky Homes.
We met with Scott to discuss the things we needed (finish some framing details like a window seat, hang sheet rock, insulation, tile, paint, flooring, finish trim, etc.) ... we had the plumber, electrician and HVAC all lined up. Scott was happy to work with our trades subs and came in with a fair price.
The project started when he said it would. Scott did the work himself or would stop by to inspect every time a sub came by to do work for him (like hang the sheetrock). He addressed any issues that came up quickly. The fact that we had lined up the plumber, electrican and HVAC did create a little bit of delay in the project but Scott worked with us on that.
All inspections passed without problems. Scott made sure the quality of the work was there before inspection was done. Nothing was rushed.
Scott was able to match the trim/look to the rest of the house very well ... he even redid the entire staircase going up to the 3rd floor so it would match.
Job is complete and we are very happy. We'd hire Scott again for a project like this or if we ever decide to build a home.

Scott was fantastic!  Always very professional and friendly.  He kept us up-to-date every step of the way and we always knew what was going on and what the next step was.  The quality of the work is remarkable.  One does not realize how much it goes into finishing an attic and Scott made it extremely enjoyable for us because we were able to see the progression and truly learn what is entailed in a project like this.  We could not be any happier with the final product - we have gained a large family room that our three kids will enjoy for years to come... I'm going to have to fight them for it :).  

All the teams that Scott managed to work in this project were always extremely punctual and professional. They came when they told us they were coming and completed the work extremely well and consistently on time.  Additionally, all inspections went really smoothly and we are now fully enjoying of the extra room in our home.

We began our home remodel like many others, getting quotes from many different contractors who were referred by friends or who had received good review on Angie's List.  Overall, we received quotes from four different general contractors.  Scott Bower from Big Sky Homes was the final contractor we spoke with and received a quote from.  He arrived at the precise date and time that we had previously arranged.  He inspected the parts of the home in which he would be working.  After he left, my wife and I had not yet received the actual quoted price for the project (Scott needed a couple days to get the quote drawn up), but my wife and I were certain that Scott was the correct fit regardless if his quote came in higher than the others.  My wife and I both work during the day and we needed a General Contractor we could trust with our home while we were not there.  Scott immediately came off as a person who not only had the knowledge to complete the job, but also we could trust.  We later received the official quote, which was on par with the other three quotes we had received and immediately hired Scott to perform the work.
Our project was being funded through a bank refinance, which added an additional level of complication to every aspect of the project.  The bank would have to inspect the project after five intervals before a draw on funds could be made.  Therefore, Scott and myself had to engage in constant communication almost daily to schedule the inspection, sign paperwork and coordinate payments.  Scott was able to be contacted by e-mail, phone and text during most of the day and always responded to all of our questions promptly. 
In regards to the actual work that was performed, Scott did a great deal of the work himself, including framing the walls and ceilings of the project (the room was about 25' x 25'), making the stair rails and doors, and building the deck.  Most of the work that was subcontracted was performed by crews that had been associated with Scott for some time and which Scott knew would be completed correctly.   Scott always personally inspected the sub's work and had any imperfections corrected.
This project also took place during a transition period for my family, as we had a new baby while the work was being performed.  As a result, work ceased for a couple of weeks directly after the birth, however, during the next several weeks, my wife and newborn were at home during the day.  Scott ensured that my wife and newborn were disturbed as little as possible.  Anytime he or a sub was supposed to report for work, he would coordinate the time in such a way that he would not disturb my wife and newborn.  We could not have asked for a better experience.
Finally, after about 3 months of construction (there was some delay because of materials coming in from suppliers), my family and I have been able to enjoy our new 3rd floor space and deck.  After spending approximately a month enjoying our new spaces, we have noticed that the quality of work is exceptional and are very satisfied.  From start to finish, our renovation was a larger project and my wife and I are in agreement that we chose the right person.  We would not hesitate to hire Scott and Big Sky Homes for future projects and Highly recommend Scott to any others looking to remodel a wide range of home projects.

The finished product is very nice.  Strong and solid while still being attractive.  Scott began the project in Nov 2014 and got the structure assembled in a week or so.  I wanted to stain the wood of the structure before Scott installed the screening, but the staining couldn't happen until the weather warmed back up in the spring.  Scott was very understanding and flexible and came back to finish out the project in April 2015.  He did a careful job that is well-engineered and assembled and was open to design suggestions from us.
We contacted roughly 8 contractors about building this screened enclosure on our deck.  All of them were in the "screened deck" or "general contracting" biz.  None of them had ever built anything like we were asking (and indicated that no one had ever even asked for anything like this before).  All but Scott said it either couldn't be done or that they didn't want to even try.  Scott got our vision right away and worked up elevation drawings quickly that matched what we had in mind.  For this alone I would recommend Scott if you have a project that everyone else says is crazy.

He arrived at my house promptly. We discussed my plans for the renovation, in which he listened to my concerns and ideas. Mr. Bowers was respectful and expressed his concerns as well. We came to an understanding immediately. He is a perfectionist, making sure each detail is complete. He supervised his assistants making sure that everything is correct. At the end of each day he made sure that the area was neat and clean. Mr. Bowers is consciousness about expenses and tried to keep his work affordable without compromising his quality.
