Business was highly recommended but disappointing. Left paint smears on light fixtures, electrical outlets, etc. hardware, and drips on plants, stonework and even on one exterior door. Did not make promised follow-up contacts.

Nathan was nothing but a true pro from the moment he came to our home to give us an estimate . The estimate was right on and a fair price for the work. He and his helper came over to pressure wash the deck . After letting it dry he replaced bark siding over our patio door . He painted our deck fence and siding . For the deck he hammered down any loose nails and repaired any loose spindles . He stained the rails and the deck . The deck never looked better . All the time he was nothing but a person that truly cared about out total satisfaction. We will use him again and so should you. Thanks Nathan.

This was a very simple job but took more time I'm sure than Nathan even liked. it was a single wall in a condo on Beech Mtn. The wallpaper was water damaged so the idea was to take the wallpaper down and paint the wall as an accent wall. Once Nathan removed the wallpaper it was discovered that the dry wall was also water damaged so he had to wait for the condo maintenance people to replace the drywall as well as remove baseboard heating. Anyway, this small job took him several trips to my condo. Nathan is very professional and honest. He could have simply painted over the water damaged drywall but he has a lot of pride in his work and knew that 1) it was not the right thing to do and 2) the painted wall would not look right. I'm saying he prides himself on his work and will not do a shoddy job. I live out of town so I had to coordinate this job with him via phone and text and he was always very responsive. He even sent me photos of the wall once it was painted and waited till I came over there to see the wall to be paid. I was just so thrilled to find someone who would do such a small job and with outstanding quality. I'm no painter but I chose a dark brown color which if not applied correctly or had a good surface underneath, would have shown a lot of faults. All goes back to pride in his work which is almost non-existent these days. On top of all this he is a very nice easy going guy!

Cranfill Painting bid on the job to paint the exterior of my house. He indicated that he had a full crew of 4-5 people to do the job. He first told me he would start in a couple of weeks. I agreed and told him once he started to work right through until it was finished. He indicated that it was fine and would be done. He estimated it would take approximately 6-7 full work days with a full crew to complete. This was the same amount of time the other paint companies who I received estimates from said the job would take.

He next contacted me in a couple of days after I received his estimate. He said that the job he was working on had a delay for a foundation repair and he wanted to start my house the next day. He said he was sending his crew over to start the prep. The next day 2 workers arrived to start prepping the house. Over the next week they were there on and off but never more than 2 workers. The owner of the company rarely showed up and never did any work.

By week 7, after multiple counseling sessions with him, which fell on deaf ears, I fired the company. I had to then go out a re-bid the job, only to find that other companies did not generally like to clean up messes caused by their competitors.

There was never a full crew at the job. At best there were 2 workers. I would see the owner show up early and then leave even after I complained. He just ignored my complaints and did whatever he felt like.

There are many more specific issues but I will not list them here as a safety measure for possible future legal action.

Response from Cranfill Painting
"In response to this review. This job changed the day I showed up they added 2 colors not in bid and I was told there wouldn't be a drastic change in body color and there was I was fine with that. Then the color the picked only came in a product more expensive than what I bid and had to order it and it took a week to get here which threw my scheduling off completely. I had guys there working everyday the weather permitted. I told the homeowner(like I do all homeowners) it would take the better part of 30 days to complete the project. Instead of talking to me and letting me know he wasn't happy he jumps straight to yelling and talking down to me. I had 3 days to completion of project when he got in my face yelling again and fired me. Now refuses to pay anything! This is a first for me I've been painting in the high county for 20 years and have never had a complaint. This whole ordeal is mind blowing! You can't make everyone happy"

Nathan and his team did an outstanding job. He is a professional who takes great pride in his work and that pride shows through in the final product. He was responsive to our needs and willing to adjust as our desires changed even after work began. Nathan was very meticulous, punctual and true to his word about when the project would be completed. His quote was very reasonable and well worth it given the quality of the work. In short, I will be using Nathan for any work on our cabin in the future and would not hesistate to recommend him to anyone.

Nathan and his crew did a great job painting our home's exterior. They also caulked where necessary and replaced rotten wood siding, trim and deck boards. When the color we chose didn't look exactly like what we wanted once a sample was applied to the home, Nathan worked with the paint store to get a custom color that turned out great. He even came back to do some touch ups after we had a window repaired. Overall, we are very pleased with his professionalism and the quality of work.

Nathan takes tremendous pride in his work and produces outstanding results in a timely and efficient manner. I would highly recommend him to anyone, even my closest friends. Every aspect of this job, from prep work to staining and painting, was done with the outstanding attention to detail one should expect of a highly qualified, professional painter.

I was extremely impressed with Nathan's work ethic. He and his crew always showed up on time and went right to work and worked steadily the entire time they were on the property. I paid him and his crew on an hourly basis. Not only was his hourly rate reasonable, but I think I got extremely good value for my money. .And my house has never looked better, both inside and out.

We purchased a home that was badly in need of updating and repair. The entire home was wood paneling with dark trim and cabinets. The ceiling had numerous stains from water damage. We wanted to lighten up the home with a cream white color which we knew was going to be a very tough job. It was obvious when Nathan Cranfill showed up to look at the job that he had experience with the type of work that needed to be done. He spent time with us listening to what we wanted and also provided suggestions and ideas. Because the home is a vacation home for us, we wanted someone that we felt comfortable would do the job without us being around frequently to check on status and Nathan was our choice.
Work completed:
Painted ceiling - stain blocking primer, sand, caulk and painted white
Wood paneled walls and dark wood trim - sand, stain block primer, caulk and painted creamy white
Kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities - painted dark wood a grey color and finished with a poly coat
The job was a challenge. I think the guys went through a couple cases of caulk just trying to get the paneled walls in good enough shape to be painted. We are extremely pleased with the finished job. The quality of work was excellent. Nathan kept us up to date on progress and was flexible with his schedule when necessary. He came back out to the home when we noticed a small area where some of the staining bled through and put on an additional coat of paint.

When we need the exterior of the home painted, Nathan will be the first guy that we call. We highly recommend him.
