Excellently!

I called William after getting a very positive reference from a local Mobile Home parts supplier for a COMPETENT HVAC mechanic.  I have two identical 28 year old Coleman Intertherm (combined heat and AC) units that use relays rather than circuit boards in two different units.  I had tried using Big Deal coupons from two different Angie's List providers previously, without success (neither could identify why the units did not work properly after wasting about $110 and almost 12 hours tinkering with them.)  William showed up promptly, was easy to get along with, and quickly began removing large components and relays he said were not needed.  I was frankly alarmed at what he began doing to the units at first (to illustrate the amount of stuff removed see below picts of removed components) for he simply tore out major boxes, relays, wires, and connectors.  I even asked him: "you sure you know what you're doing?"  He calmly reassured me these components were present so unskilled non-technicians could install the units, and that when he's finished they will both function correctly.  He removed two smaller 24V transformers from the HVAC units inside the home, and rewired both AC Condensers outside too, replacing them with heavier duty 24V transformers he said were more reliable.  He also removed the 12"x8"x2" sheet metal control boxes (pictured) containing multiple relays, wire connection hubs, along with handfuls of wire, from both units.  He then installed a used four wire (as he did not have a new one on hand to replace the old 3 wire thermostat w/o charge) but told me to purchase new 4 wire thermostats for both, which I did.   Both units now work perfectly!  I waited a few months to make sure the repairs held before writing this review.  I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED!   His competency is outstanding, while his pricing was very reasonable too:-)  I will definitely call upon his expertise if ever needed again!
