Up To Par Landscaping

At first, Jerry came when he said he would come.  Then, came the "promised" visits and time frames.  He has never come when he said he will come at all.  We still have cracks in our walk way that he has not filled in and a drain that he has not installed in the walk. He finally said he would install the drain for more money.  We said no thank you. He has continuously told us that he is busy working on another job.  Our thought is that he comes until he gets your money and then doesn't tie up the last few end of things and will not stand behind his work.  
 I got a text back from him this past weekend when I told him I was tired of waiting and planned to post a review on here.  At that point, he sent me a note saying that "threats would not work."  I believe in following through with what I say I will do and hope to help save someone else from his poor workmanship and professionalism.  This has been going on for almost 2 years.  Even that text said he would come this Tuesday or Wednesday, followed by another text that he was busy those two days and would come Thursday.  However, he has not confirmed coming on Thursday.  Prior to that, my last contact from him was May 30, 2013, when he promised to come "next week!"  He would come check on something with the irrigation, but would not come to the door and by the time we got outside, he would be leaving.  
Some of the plants that he planted are fine, but quite a few have not done well. We relied on his expertise as to the amount of sun that the various areas would get in planting our plants.  He did replace a few of them, but none of the ones on one side of our house that are dead and evidently do not do well with the amount of sun in that area.  In addition, the trees he planted were smaller than some of our bushes.  Our contract called for a red Japanese Maple in the front of our house and he said he could not help that it was green, as it had no leaves on it when he planted it in the fall and it did not bloom until spring.  He said if we would purchase a tree, he would plant it.  We told him no - that should be between he and his nursery where he purchased the plants. The irrigation system was not set up correctly and was set for numerous time frames, etc.  He is not licensed for irrigation.  (We did not know this when we hired him.) Please save yourself some time and money and do not use him.
