I tend to keep up with preventive maintenance, and to keep aware of coming issues, particularly safety issues in my vehicle, which is occasionally driven by others in my family. However, due to my poor hearing, I missed that the ball joints had play. This can result in a wheel departure if a significant bump is hit. Sounds like a safety issue to me. Metro Honda found the issue in their normal vehicle inspection, and showed my the extent of the issue. I could immediately see that there was a problem that had to be fixed. While my appointment was for less service, they were able to fix it quickly. Of course, after ball joints, alignment was required. BTW, the accord is well over 100K.
Metro Honda keeps good records, and could tell me when my last fluid fluid changes had occurred. It was time for changing brake and steering fluid, as the fluids are hydroscopic (attract water), and should be changed every few years.
Before servicing, I was given an accurate price estimate, and time estimate of repair. As I had other appointments, I elected to leave foe the day, notifying the service manager that I would be leaving, and that timeliness was no longer an issue. When the service was completed several hours later, I was notified (phone) that the vehicle was ready. I retrieved the vehicle the next day, and it was in perfect condition.
My first experience with Metro Honda was with an out-of-state plate on my Accord 5 years ago. I was returning home to another state where I was preparing to move to Union County, NC. I needed a headlight -- first one in 10 years. I found Metro Honda on my way, and stopped to see if I could get two new headlights. I was treated like a long-time customer, with immediate perfect service. I was even asked if I wanted a US or German made bub! Metro Honda changed the bulbs for me, and I proceeded on my way. Later, when it came time to purchase a second vehicle, Metro was our dealer of choice. They treated my wife (I was still out of state) with full service and respect, and were willing to ask a fair price (based on my research in the Southeastern US). Since then, they have serviced both our vehicles, and have been exemplary. I not only recommend them, but assert that our vehicles will always be serviced there.
